RCA TV Model F36650 Verticle

Hi Dan, Can you let me know the details on how to fix this issue?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your help. Con Below is my original post.... I have an RCA Entertainment series TV (model # F36650). The picture squeezes from the bottom up. This constantly changes to between 1/4 to 1/2 the screen. Also, the whole picture "giggles a little. What do you think can be wrong. Also, are there any adjustments I can make?? Thanks for your help.

There are defective components in the vertical circuit. If you can solder and are comfortable working inside the set (there are dangerous high voltages present even when unplugged), you can fix this. Let me know and I'll provide additional details and instructions.

This is a problem with the vertical circuit and because it "repairs" itself, sounds like either a poor solder connection or a failing capacitor. This is a fairly common problem that is easily resolved. If you have repair experience, you can fix this yourself. Please verify the model number and whether or not you plan on attempting the repair and I'll supply additional details.

Thanks,
Dan

TV WON'T TURN ON RCA F36650

Probably the horizontal out(HOT) is shorted. The flyback transformer is probably gone out also. For a 32650 the horz. is a 2sc5148 or a nte 2324. I don't know if the 36 is the same horz.or not . Hope this is helpful.

By distortion do you mean that the top part is stretched? If so, you have bad caps in the vertical circuit. If you are comfortable working inside hte set and can solder, you can fix this yourself. Please post the model number and I can give you the details.

Not a problem just looking for advice

There are no two TV's alike as far as alignment go. If you are talking just about controls like color, tint, brightness and picture. Those are based on what you see as a normal picture.
