When you install Windows 10, it usually finds most of the peripheral devices and installs drivers for them. This includes printers. However, it seems that they do not include the scan software for the all-in-ones. What you should do is either reinstall the printer drivers using the installation media for the device, or go to the Epson website and download the driver package for your machine and OS. If there is no Windows 10 driver package, most Windows 8.1 packages will work. Before you install the driver package, however, go to the Printers section of Windows 10 and delete the existing printer, otherwise yo will wind up with two entries in the section and not know which one is which.
3.) Ones it is downloaded and installed to your computer., try to launch epson scan ( if same issue persist )
>> On the Device Manager (Vista) if the Epson Scanner is listed under "Other Devices" -- with a yellow " ! " < right click on it and click on update driver., make sure that the option selected is " Install the software automatically (Recommended) and then press next > ..... you may need to restart your computer after this procedure..
>> Then try to scan again
Note >> if a pop on your computer for ( New hardware Found ) just ignore it / close it., after the scanner driver is installed it will go away.....
Not sure how you're removing the driver, but if you go to control panel device manager remove the printer totally as an option; reboot and then reload the printer. You also need to identify the remote printer in the print sequence or as your default printer in set-up (device manager). Hope this helps.
Not sure of your exact situation but .........
Your answering machine MUST be connected directly to the output of your CX9400 and you can't use an answering machine with multiple "mailboxes". Set your answering machine to 4 and your CX9400 to 5/6 rings. Epson "Technical Support" has no clue of this problem .... yet.
The machine routes the call to your answering machine, it it's an incoming FAX and the answering machine starts the CX9400 will recognize the incoming transmit signal, turn on the FAX function, and disconnect your answering machine.
You may need to adjust the CX9400 rings setting based upon the duration of your answering machines announce message (longer message = greater number)
