I have a zebra P330i when I go to print a card the card just goes right through the printer and I get a message that says mechanical error, I've cleaned the printer and theres nothing jamed in it.

    I have the same problem, but the card gets stuck right before the print
    head. I haven't cleaned my printer because it's not a problem with the
    printer hardware. Recently, the print server and LCD went out on my
    330i so I sent it in for repairs. I got the hot swap and it worked
    great. When I received my old printer back, I tried to switch the
    printers out.

    The printer (my original) would print a Test card
    from the Zebra Tools under Device Settings, but when it tries to print
    a normal Test card for Windows, it will not print the card. This is on
    Windows 2003 Server, btw. I hooked the loaner back and it worked fine.
    I called Zebra and they told me the server needs to be rebooted. I
    waited until that night and uninstalled the software and
    driver/rebooted, then reinstalled the driver. That did not work.
    Printer still acted the same way. So I decided to hook the loander back
    up.

    Also, I installed the printer on a Windows XP machine to see if it was a driver issue, and the printer works fine on XP

My solution was the cleaning roller. Zebra said the roller was not getting enough pressure to pull the card through. I pressed the metal clips down to give more tension and the printer works great now.

I took the print head off and re-seeded everything, put it all back together and it prints now. I just have to adjust the color a bit.

BROTHER P-TOUCH IS not printing


It is obvious it has a failed electronic component, since these are not repaired/exchanged except when they are under warranty best thing to do is just replace it.

Prinnter not printing but showing 'put custom in manual tray'


There is still a print job in the queue. Place a sheet so it prints or kill the job.


Open Printers and Faxes. Open printer. Highlight jobs and Right click > Cancel, or Documents > Cancel.
For those stubborn jobs, Right click My Computer > Manage. Choose Services and Applications > Services > Print Spooler. Right click and stop. Then start. This may have to be done from the Print Server if it's network printer. Contact IT to kill.

Laser printer makes light clicking noise when idle


When idle is potentially the fuser unit, after heating and cooling. However the print quality issue associated with the clicking sound could indicate an electrical issue. The HVPS maybe faulty causing the print quality issue (due to dependant parts) and the electrical click. In any case I would recommend calling Brother and finding the nearest authorised service agent.

My fax wont work in my ricoh aficio 1515 mf??


Using the 1515 as a fax machine is a pretty simple procedure if everything works right. All you have to do is hook a working phone line up to the phone jack on the back of the copier (the one labeled LINE, not TEL).

Why won't the fax work? If it is giving you an error message, what is the message?

If you are not getting a dial tone when faxing, unplug the fax from the phone line and plug a working phone in, and see if the phone gets a dial tone. If it doesn't, there is a problem with your phone line.

You can also try plugging the fax machine into another phone line. If the fax works on that line, then there may be a problem with the first line.

Are you having problems sending faxes or receiving them, or both?
