Sorry your having trouble. Your code suggest you have an optional KM FS-534-535 finisher attached to your copier. The code is triggered by an internal part within the finisher and should be thoroughly inspected only by a certified factory trained service technician. I would suggest you contact your local repair company.
Attempting to resolve this issue on your own could produce negative results.
On the operator control panel, next to the nine key pad,is a button that says "additional functions" locate it and we will perform a 3 step function that will allow you to enter "service mode" which will let you clear the code. Press "additional function", release it and then immediately press the 2 and 8 buttons simultaneously, release them and then press additional functions again. As I said this is a 3 step process that should be done in a smooth but timely fashion. If done properly this will summon a new screen that will show you a few "blocks" and the top block will say COPIER. Press it and a new screen will appear which will have several blocks across the top of the screen. One will say FUNCTION and you need to press it. Again a new screen. Look at the menu in the body of the screen and you will see CLEAR. Press clear. New screen again and look for ERR. Press ERR. After you have touched ERR notice the "OK" button in the lower right corner of the screen. Touch "ok". Now unplug the copier and power off. wait a few seconds. Now plug that cable back in and power on. The copier will attempt to return to a ready condition by "warming up". This is where the copier may notice a problem with the temp. Then make a copy. This will force the copier to run a brief diagnostic(which you wont see). If the copy successfully exits the copier then you should be ok. But the fact that the code occurred at all Means that at a minimum the copier had previously seen a problem and so the code may return. Good luck and take care
This is standard error code for Canon and the fuser unit. The error can be reset by being ready to go into service mode quickly. First press the additional function button, then the 2 & 8 keys at the same time and then the additional function key again. The display should change to the service mode screen, indicating " COPIER " and other accessories. Press " COPIER " then accross the top you should see a menu and select "FUNCTION" then select " CLEAR", then " ERR ", then " OK." This will clear the error from the copiers memory. Turn off the main power switch, wait a few seconds, then turn the copier back on. If you continue to have this error you will have to replace the fixing assembly and if it is similiar to the IRC3220 then you ahve only two screws to remove and the whole unit comes out. You will be saving a service call and I do believe the fuser is over $500. I usually don' tknow the prices of items until I have to do a quote for a customer. Good Luck.
The machine needs a PM which is a preventive maintenance overhaul. Contact a technician in your area or restart the machine holding down the 0 and 8 key and input code 252 and hit 0 and enter, then power down and restart to reset PM counter.
However, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you get a full PM done if you want to avoid future copy quality problems and parts ware-down.
C0500 refers to a low fuser temperature. You can attempt to clear the code by using the tech rep service mode.
Go to "Counter"
Go to "Trouble"
If "warm Restart Swich" is asked for- This can be actuated through a small access hole on the right side of the control panel, using a straightened paper clip or something similar.
You may need to clear the counter by pressing "clear" and then "end".
After clearing the code, power cycle the copier. If it comes to "ready" you are all set. If not, you may have a blown heat lamp or thermal fuse which would need to be replaced by a technician. Good Luck!!
