Stoves 900GDO Bottom oven door seal

Door does not close to the seal at the top thus allowing a great deal of heat to escape

Gas version, but similar problem. The seals have also broken (due to the hot gas flowing out?) after 4 years use!
The door looks as though it opens too far down and not rotates enough closed (compared to upper oven).
Could it be that the suport for the hinges is inserted too far in to the oven?
    regards
    Vivien

Oven door won't close firmly on it's seal, it stops about 1/4" short, thus loosing heat, it seems like a spring has lost it's tension ( if that makes sense)

The handbook tells you how to take the door off. If you can do this, do so and then clean/spray all the door hinge mechanisms with WD40. Remove the surplus with kitchen towel and replace the door. Operate the door a number of times to see if this has cleared the problem. (Over time the hinges seize up and the WD 40 normally eases this situation).
(Don't be confused with the air flow coming out of the oven from the cooling fan as this also runs along the top edge of the door).

You will probably have to replace the oven door hinges.
This should solve the problem

Kebs208dss11 model double oven. When upper oven is on with door closed, steam can be seen escaping from top of door. Door is closed all the way. Even when putting pressure on door to make sure it is...

The first thing I'd suspect is a poorly fitting door seal / gasket. This will permit the heat inside the oven to escape. Check to be sure the the one installed is defective (cut, split, frayed, dislodged, etc.) Replacement parts:

Make sure this is the part you need before ordering.

I have a Competence B 6139-4-m electric oven. the door does not close properly, have tried cleaning it as intruction manual suggests, the heat escaping from the oven has scorched my cupboards

the fault is unlikely to be the actual oven unit so therefore in order of least expense the things to check are:- the door seal being complete, the hinges not having been forced, the door not being buckled, self adhesive universal seals are available online from *spares etc. Hinges are easy to remove from the cooker and then can be unscrewed from the door and replaced. if it's the door I would have to say that's less likely to be available for a sensible price.

The oven door is not closing completely which allows the heat to escape

depends on the model, possible hinge fault, the hinges get weak or strained.check the seal also.

Oven takes forever to heat up - its a thermador double oven - me272

Hello- Check these things first-  Door seals tend to get stiff over time. This is normal. Door hinges can become loose or get bent a bit, causing door to not close tight. This little gap can allow heat to escape, causing extended pre-heat times and frequent cycling of elements. If door doesn't seem to pull shut tightly- hinges will need to be replaced. If oven appears to operate normally otherwise, this should solve problem.  Let me know if the info helps- have more if needed- Thanks  - Ed

Heat escaping, uneven baking, longer cooking times

Either the seals need to be replaced, or you may have weak oven door hinges, and the door is not closing properly.
Only solution would be to replace both hinges if this is the case.

Oven door fails to close properly. Heat escapes when cooking. Seals appear to be ok. Please assist if free, as offered.

Probably mal-adjusted hinges. Open the door fully and there USUALLY are small holes in the hinges to insert a nail into to hold the hinges open while working on the door.

Door will not stay closed completely

if the seal is meeting the frame it will be ok, if there is a gap allowing air to escape then the frame itself may have been bent at some pric
