Question about Frigidaire PLMV169DC Microwave Oven
Display shows push clear to enter time, I cannot push the clear button. the only 2 buttons are working are the fan and light everything else is not working, I removed the panel thinking it was dirty contacts or something like that, I cleaned inside but this did not help, my question is do you think its the panel or could it be the control board? If I would know what leads are on the ribbon cable for the display I could check to see if they are actually giving me a contact.
Thanks for any help,
You probably have a failed
If you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.
You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.
There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.
If you would like to have us do this for you, we do that for $39.95 plus part costs.
Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your model number) for more information & help.

Hi ssullivan013 - Here are some generics instructions that I found for the model number posted above. Hope the information is helpful.
Suppose you want to enter the correct time of day 12:30 (A.M or P.M.).
1. Touch Clock pad.
2. Enter time 1,2,3,0 and press CLOCK pad again
This is a 12 hour clock. If you attempt to enter an incorrect clock timer, ERROR will appear in the display. Touch the CLEAR/OFF pad and re-enter the time.

reset the digital display to the clock setting.
2) Push the
"Clock" button once. Locate the "Hour" button and
press it once for each hour of time. For example, if the current time
is 5:15 p.m., press the Hour button five times.
the "Minute" button to set the second half of the time. For
the example above, you would press the Minute button 15 times to set
a time of 5:15 p.m.
