I have a Minolta f300 camera whith an internal battery that needs to be replaced. Sending it to Minolta (Sony now) would require a flat fee of $181 which is of course morethan the value of he camera. I can remove the back case but the front case, which covers the internal battery, seems to be attached to the telephoto lens and does not seperate easily from the camer's internals. I don't want to force it and break something. What is the procedure for removing the front case? Thanks

I just took my entire camera apart so if you still need to know how to do this you can email me at [email protected]. the ring around hte lense pops off and there is a screw in the back on the bottom that also needs to come out. I can take pic for you. I ruined my camera doing this so may as well try and help someone else out.
