you can move the recorded files into an MS WORD document BUT you can not automatically transcribe what is recorded onto a word document with any type of software, You can always use voice3 dictation to speak the information over and that would be the fastest but most costly options.
There are several "flavours" of DNS 10, and only the Preferred and Professional versions will allow you to submit a pre-recorded sound for recognition (from the Sound menu). If you have a lower version such as the Standard, you will need to upgrade to at least Preferred.

Make sure that 'VOX' or 'VA' isn't turned on. This is Voice Activated recording and is designed to record only when the person is talking. The problem is that sometimes it'll cut in or out when you don't want it to.
Also, if the handheld has a 'Dict/Conf' switch, put it into 'Dict'. The 'Conf' setting is for conference recording - which will make the mic more sensitive and pick up more background noise.
