Epson Projector S05 text is shodow

If the text on your Epson EB-S05 projector is appearing blurry or shadowed, there are several possible causes and solutions to consider:
  1. Check the focus: Make sure the projector is in focus by adjusting the focus ring. If the text still appears blurry, try adjusting the position of the projector or the screen.
  2. Check the resolution: If the input resolution of your projector does not match the native resolution of your display or screen, the text may appear blurry or shadowed. Check the resolution settings on both your projector and your device to make sure they match.
  3. Check the cables: If the cables connecting your projector to your device are old or damaged, they may cause interference or display issues. Try replacing the cables with new ones and see if that improves the text clarity.
  4. Check the lamp: If the lamp on your projector is old or damaged, it may cause the image to appear dim or blurry. Check the lamp hours and replace the lamp if necessary.
  5. Check the settings: Make sure that the brightness, contrast, and other settings on your projector are properly adjusted. Experiment with different settings to find the optimal image quality.
If none of these solutions work, it may be necessary to consult the Epson customer support or to take the projector to a professional technician for repair.

Volume switch on Panasonic radio has scratchy static sounds

Sounds like oxidized contacts.
If volume is a turn-knob, then wiper-track (inside potentiometer) is worn.
If it's a PTM (push-to-make) standard button, the button contacts may be dusty/dirty/oxidized.
Suggest you:
buy a contact cleaner such as Servisol,
open case,
identify controls
and squirt liberally to wash out any gunk.
Move/press/wiggle scratchy one to help 'scrub' the contacts clean.
If this doesn't help try have control replaced.

My projector wont display what is on the computer.

Every laptop has a facility to toggle the display from the screen to an external display. The exact method varies from brand to brand. But they're all a variation on the same theme. It's the Function button (Fn) and one of the F keys. On my HP its Fn + F4. I've had laptops in the past where it has been F5 and others that were F8. All of them though had a little symbol representing a screen on the correct key.

The way it works is that the laptop screen is on. The first press of the two buttons will put both screens on. The next press is just the output to the projector. The final press brings it round to the laptop only again.

Once you have just the projector running, then you should change the display resolution to suit the projector if the laptop hasn't already done it for you. You can tell when it's wrong because the text won't be crisp. Right click on the PC desktop and then select "graphics properties" or similar from the menu. Change the resolution from the drop down box. Click OK to confirm. The correct resolution for a projector is the native rate. This is the number of pixels on the display, not the maximum resolution.

VGA Cable max Length from Laptop to Projector

Your on the edge, possible that the image will be unstable (wiggly). Considered a VGA amp from Gefen to up the drive. 50ft is about max. You can try dumbing down the res if it is unstable. Less horizonal frequency to travel long distance. good luck

No captions sanyo projection tv

By captions you mean subtitles - this constraint is a feature of your TV and not the projector, If however you mean the menu text for the projector then you sometimes have to select s-vid or composite as the menu text (and the volume level) doesn't appear when you are using Component.

NEC Overhead Projector

Hi Forrest

This sounds like a damaged Mainboard.

First check if your Projector is still under warranty as this is a very expensive part to have replaced.

Also check if it has any effect whatsoever using another PC Cable.

Hope this is of help.
