Question about Printers & Copiers

1 Answer

Message E-91 When I turn the printer on I immediately get a picture of a spanner and code E-91. What does this mean and how can I get past it? Help please I have the same problem. I was performing a print head clean and nozzle check when the error first showed on the small screen on the printer. I have tried turning the printer off and leaving it to rest but the moment I turn the printer back on, the E-91 message shows next to a red circle with a cross in it and there is a picture of a spanner below. How can I fix the problem?

E91 on Epson printer means ink waste full.

To fix the printer it is necessary to take it apart, clean the ink pad, then resetting the printer chip, using a cartridge resetter, or an Epson special utility.

You can do this at any repair shop, or you can buy the repair kit here and try doing it yourself. It will be necessary to take apart the printer and do a 'dirty job' to fix this fault.

I have a Brother MFC-9840 that comes up with Print Unable 21. I have cleaned as set out in maintenance to no avail. Please help. Thank-you

The MFC-9840 manual says that this code is reporting a mechanical error.
Try to reset your machine in maintenance mode:
menu * 2 8 6 4 (within 2 seconds)
91 and then 99 to exit service mode.

User manual:
http://www.brother-usa.com/ModelDocuments/Consumer/Users%20Manual/UM_MFC_9840CDW_EN_2378.PDF

Brother's suggestion:

Turn off the machine's power switch and then

turn it on again. If the error message continues

leave the machine for several minutes and then
try to print, copy or scan again

Good luck.....

What does error code 3820 mean for a kodak esp5 all-in-one printer

The error message "Carriage Home detection failed" (error code 3820) can be resolved by following these steps:
To resolve this error:
1.Open the printer access door.
2.Disconnect the power adapter from the printer.
3.Gently hold both sides of the carriage, located immediately behind the print-head, and make sure the carriage moves freely.
•If the carriage does not move freely, contact Kodak.

5.Reinstall the print-head and ink cartridges, making sure each clicks into place.
6.Connect the power adapter to the printer.
7.Turn the printer on, if necessary.
8.Close the printer access door.
If the error continues, contact Kodak.

Canon IR 3030 error code 000 002-0000

This code is for the fixing area. I have found that most times it is the lower pressure roller bearings that have seized up and need to be replaced. it could also be the main thermistor has a problem, it would have to be replaced or cleaned ( try cleaning first). on the rare occasion a retaining clip has broken and had jammed the upper roller. The best thing would be to check everything in the fixing area. it is under the yellow cover that gets very hot.

The machine shows spanners

Hi,

If you press the ' clear ' and ' 8 ' button, at a time both has to be pressed continuously then after two to three seconds you can see some code like "c44", "c43", c26, "c01".

the spanner means it is call for service. you have to call a service engineer if the symbol is blinking even though you may clear some of these with the codes.

These spanner blinks then it is saying that some part has gone bad and it need the replacement , service, reset of the code. any one of the three.
