Question about Audio Players & Recorders

2 Answers

I have an LG HT503PH Cinema system and LG 37inch LCD TV and have two queries as follows :- 1/ Am I able to connect to the cinema system and play music from my Ipod? If so how since just plugging the ipod into the USB Port on the cinema system does not seem to work? 2/ The cinema system is connected to the tv through the tv's HDMI 1 port. When I play a dvd the TV switches to HDMI 2 automatically. I can hear the sound via the cinema system but the TV shows a no signal image. If I change the tv to HDMI 1 (thinking that should sort the problem, after all the HDMI cable is connected to HDMI 1) the dvd stops and I still get a "no signal"? Hope you can help with these. Cheers Andy

Hi!
I had exactly the same problem. What you have to do is to turn the SIMPLINK off! I know it is ment to work on LG TV with LG DVDplayer, but it looks like it does not!!!
I will call lg service and let you know what I found out.
Apparentely there is a conflict between both controls.

Tring to connect my samsung tv to my samsung home cinema and having problems

Hi,here is my simple solution...
to listen your TV on your Stereo system thru your
samsung home cinema receiver,
** you need to connect "Audio Output " RCA jacks or "Optic cable output" of your TV
** to "AUX input " or "TV" OR "Any input" of your receiver ( except Phone ) or "Optic Cable input"
** than just switch to respective mode on
samsung home cinema RECEIVER corresponding your RCA or Optic connection..
.
There you go..Your TV sound is on the
samsung home cinema Receiver..By this means whatever you watch on the TV (TV tuner, satellite , Xbox ..etc.) ,it's sound will come thru your stereo..

Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know.
Take care and please

No surround sound when on TV mode

You may have to set the TV output to stereo or matrix out. Also if the stations are not in stereo or surround it will not play in surround.
If you are connecting to a cable or satellite box and you are just using the coaxial input to the TV you may not get stereo. Some cable companies only send mono signal through the coax and you need to connect the tv to the box using component cables and the R and L audio connections.
There may also be settings in the receiver that you have to adjust to get surround from the TV.
You could connect the audio out directly to the receiver instead of the TV and just use the receiver for TV sound.

Hope this helps

LG HT503PH home cinema system - two front speakers work with tv and shy but not back speakers. When I test, all speakers work. Connection used - optical. What am I doing wrong?

Press the VSM button on the remote control until the display shows PL11 MOVIE or PL 11 MUSIC I personally prefer movie, that should give you simulated 5.1 on all speakers It works for me on both my TV and my xbox 360 which are connected.
