My laptop sound is gone and i dont no what to do

It seems that you have formated you laptop with CD. It has formated the recovery drives so you need to reinstall your laptop with CD if shipped with the laptop. F11 would not work in this scenario if you have already formated the Laptop with other CD coz whenever you format the drive and create partition with any third party CD it normally delete the Recovery partition from the laptop. If the case is such then you cant get back you old recovery partition. But you can create a recovery disk from the same laptop if you can find... one with any friends etc and then re-image your laptop with that disk. After that all the setting will be back. Or you can contact with SONY support for the same issue they can provide the same disk.

Any time you do a format of a drive, all your information including operating system and drivers are gone. That is why it is wise to backup any information you wish to save to the new format. You may be able to get the drivers for the system from online. Just do an online search for your unit.

It would have been quicker for you just to have gone to the compaq web support page and downloaded it yourself.

You need to download the audio driver from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP or Vista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

I FORMATED MY HP PAVILION AND SOUND DEVICE IN NOT FOUND

that message usually means that the audio file is the wrong format for that media player you can download a different player that plays that format, go into my computer and pull up the music files that dont play right click on one and select properties and it will tell you its format/file type

Have you reloaded the motherboard drivers for audio after formatting? If not connect to the net, visit the manufacturers web-site and download the latest sound driver for your model after having selected the OS you are using. The sound is integrated sound built in the Motherboard, hence without the correct driver it will not work..........sodeep

hi i have toshiba SATELLITE PRO A 120 LAPTOP MODEL NO PTA 83L-08L02L .after formating i lost sound now not any drivers is compatible for my computer .and i dont have recovery cd also please help

See on the back of the Laptop, u have there a Label whit the model of the laptop. Then go the toshiba website and make download.
