No power, No Display - test voltages on secondary side of transformer were pulsating
Check diodes 6230, 6240, 6210. They are BYW98 Rectifiers, in my case it was s/c. Thanks to Sparky for similar tip - Philips CD Model: CDR770/00
No power and no output
Replace C6 with 4.7uF, 250v
No power, voltages on secondary side of chopper were very low and pulsating
Check diode 6230. It's a BYW98, in my case it was s/c. Note: it's the rectifier for the 14v line
Dead, no power up on pin 2 of ic601

Horizontal width jitter after turn on, or picture gets wide and then back and forth!

hi there, seems you're encountering horizontal width suddenly adjusted by itself. i recommend you unscrew the back casing, clean the crt board a bit and look for the capacitor on the secondary output of the transformer voltage chopper. it has this diode series with the output and filtered with electrolytic capacitor. if you notice bulgy appearance replace it with same type and farrad rate. most of the times it is unnoticeable by just physical checking. Some are leaky and can be determined using capacitance tester. The supply of the Vertical IC is not stable cause by this capacitor. replacing most of the capacitor wouldn't cost you much. hope this helps, please rate and vote

When power on SMPS is totally dead chek the fuse; fuse is ok switching transistor also ok pls help

If power out of the SMPS is the issue then a short on the secondary side can also be the issue in which the optocoupler can shut off the feed to the SM driver.
So if your voltage is present at the SM driver and the oscillation of the invertor chopper is good, check on Sm transformer for fault or the secondary ccirrcuit may have short.
If oscillatiion is not present , check and change the Oscillator IC.There are feedback loops into the circuit and the diode/capacitor can also be faulty.

Just replaced the magnetron in my Panasonic NN-S543BFR. I still don't get any heat from my oven. Everything works as set but still no heat in oven. Need suggestions on repairs.

When you say "Everything works as set" do you mean the microwave appears to function properly, but then doesn't heat?

If the magnetron is new, then the magnetron must not be receiving the required high voltage (2000V or more) from the HV circuit. Make sure you've got 120V to the PRIMARY (don't attempt to measure secondary voltage of the HV transformer without special equipment) of the HV transformer. After that check the HV capacitor and diodes. If these components test OK, then either your HV transformer is bad or your new magnetron is faulty. My experience is that the problem is usually in control circuitry, preventing 120V to the HV transformer, or opens/shorts in the HV components (diodes and capacitors).

How to repair Vizio VP 322 power supply

Power Supply repair is NOT easy, but here goes. First Without Power do as"Dry" Multimeter Ohms, check of ALL discrete components looking for "Shorts" Check, Diodes, Caps, Resistors. Coils etc.., Check all Transistors, B.C.E. with your meter set on "Diode test" look for "Bad" junctions. Then you check to see if you have power to and on the "other side" of the Bridge Rectifiers/Diodes. if not, replace that. if yes, proceed. Check for the correct Voltages around the Controller Chip. and Check the output of the Chopper Transformer, Check to see if the Waveform around the Controller IC is right. Check ALL voltages are correct & within range.. Now during this you should have found the faulty Bit(s). Replace as necessary. BE CAREFUL. I always work on ANYTHING connected to mains through an Isolation Transformer.

Dead Set after power surge

Check the power supply transformer primary driver transistor and the associated components (some diodes and capacitors, resistors, an optocoupler maybe) and the rectifier diodes (or a bridge) and capacitors at the transformer secondary, what you are looking for is a short circuit, however, the short may as well be in another section of the circuit board (a shorted component may sometimes have signs of damage caused by heat, but this is not a rule).

Hope you can find out what it is...

Sony KV-20FS100 - plug it in, no picture. "clicks when you turn it on.... - no picture at all.'' Haven't opened it, but other tv's work fine on this circuit.....

You have a power supply problem. I would say without looking at the set that you have a short circuit diode in the secondary side of the chopper transformer..or your line output transistor has gone short circuit. Either way your powers supply has a shorted load on it.

R2M diode is 130v zener, the missing diode is RM25 which is 55V zener for over voltage protection.

Unit is dead....

The power supply is the first place to start.

Is there a transformer? Check to see that there is AC on the primary & secondary of the transformer.

If no AC on the secondary, then the transformer is bad. If AC ok on the secondary, then look for a bad rectifier diode/module and/or regulator module. There might also be fuses on the DC side of the power supply.

If the unit is completely dead, it's most likely a power supply issue.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

Good luck!
