    Need more info...

    Make/model of your machine...

Check the top row of your keys - there should be an antenna symbol. Hit your Function key and that key. Check your Control Panel...

How can i active my wifi??

Hello,

The Wifi is set to enable from the factory. If you are sure the WiFi buttons is on and you still can not connect to a WiFi device, do the following:

1. Start > Control Panel > Mobile PC > Windows Mobility Center
2. Click the wireless icon located at the buttom left corner of the Windows Mobility Center.
3. Click Properties
4. Check the box next to HP Wireless Assistance icon in notification area.
5. Click Apply.

This will put an icon in your notification area (lower right of your screen). You are able to click this icon to turn on/off your wireless service as well as connect to networks.

Good Luck

I just purchased a Dell Latitude 6500 laptop and I can't connect to my home network. I am using an Intellinet router.

hi! there is no problem with your internet connection with your router but the problem is your dell lattitude wont connect to the wireless network, please try to disable your dell software for connecting to wireless network and just use the windows wireless zero config, check the on the taskbar on the lower right of the monitor, there is an icon for the wireless connection for dell, right click it and select disable, sometime there is an option that windows will ask if you want to turn on the wireless zero config..if it didnt ask, click onn start, run and type in service.msc then it will show the services go to the buttom portion and enable the wireless zero config..

Hi,

You may want to double-check if the wireless adapter on your laptop is enabled. If it is enabled, try to view the available wireless networks on your wireless connection and select the name of your wireless network. You may also want to check your wireless router if there is a wireless security enabled. It is important that you know the wireless settings on your wireless router to make sure that the wireless adapater settings on your laptop match the settings on the wireless router.

Wireless not working, when my laptop is switch on, the wireless will show it is working but when the computer is ready to use, the wireless switch will just go off and I can never detect any wireless...

Most laptops employ a Function key "Fn, F(Sub/superscript in Bold)"

First examine your keyboard looking for keys with symbols or words in a different color, this color should match the color of your function key.

If there are no other colors, then size should be your indicator. Keys like letters may have small numbers near them, this number is your Fn+ That key result.

Look for an icon like a radio tower, and Press and Hold Fun, Fn, F (depending on your situation) and hit that tower key.

You should see a result on the screen.

If this is a Dell Laptop check your QuickSet for "Always enable on battery" under your wireless/power-saving settings.

If you have no Fn key, and no Radio Tower icon in site, visually inspect the sides of the machine for a switch or button.

HP's generally have a button near an LED lens
IBM Dell and others have switches
(none of these are definite, simply a generality)

Lastly, check your BIOS/ Setup Menu for related Wireless/Networking/Communication settings, make sure to enable your wireless, regardless of power saving options.
(F1, F2, Esc, Delete, F12 Depending on the manufacturer )

Good Luck, Let us know what you find.
