Sparkle 980gt SLI. Not enough free resources

I have installed 2 Sarkle 9800gt's in Sli and the second card gives me the code 12 error that it cannot find enough free resources. I have used the SLI bridge from my previous sli installation(6600gt's) as i did not recieve a new bridge with my 9800gt's.

There is also a small plug on each card right next to the sli bridge, must this be plugged in?????

Please help

Two devices have been assigned the same I/O ports, the same interrupt, or the same Direct Memory Access channel (either by the BIOS, the operating system, or a combination of the two).

You can use Device Manager to determine where the conflict is and disable the conflicting device. On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard.

SOURCE: error code -12

go to control panel>> system>>hardware>> device manager.
double click on the netgear, go to resources tab, if there is conflict (it should). click on "change setting" select the memory range and the IRQ untill you see "no Conflicts" in the lower box.
close and exit. restart the machine.

Hi I want to know what is the best motherboards compatable for adobe premiere 6.5 ? ( Asus, Intel, else?) what is the best model no. of each? thanks a lot, Mack

Motherboards do not generally have incompatibilities with software. Video capture software can be graphic intensive, especially if it compiles. You are going to want as much ram as windows will use (4gb for 32 bit, 8 for 64 bit) and a good graphics card. PCI express 2.1 would be best so make sure the motherboard has it. You can also opt for a motherboard with either SLI or crossfire to employ dual video cards, but that may be overkill.

Sounds like something else is chewing up you memory have you got too much allocated somewhere else or control panel/ system /device manager/ serial bus controlers/ std open host controller... update driver, or uninstall and then reboot and windows should hunt it down for you. you may need the driver for it if it cant find it by itself, that means knowing what sort it is (motherboard handbook) and going to site and getting driver.

What is error code 16

Code 16
Windows could not identify all the resources this device uses. (Code 16)

To specify additional resources for this device, click the Resources tab and fill in the missing settings. Check your hardware documentation to find out what settings to use.Solution button: None

This code means that the device was not fully detected. When a device is not fully detected, all of its resources may not be recorded.

To resolve this error code, click the Resources tab in Device Manager to manually enter the settings. Good luck..

Upgraded my pc to win 7 and on pinnacle's advice bought and installed studio 12, I did have studio 10 before. 500 pci card not shown in devices and studio 12 says can't open 500 file

Did your system pass the satisfaction test of Win7

display driver and card may not be ok for operating Win7...if it's 1 on the satisfation level then the display card is not good enough to work in Win7
So Pinnacle Studio may not work....
Thanks

PCI

"As of 2007, PCI Express has replaced AGP as the most common interface for graphics cards on new systems. With a few exceptions, all graphics cards being released today (2008) from ATI and NVIDIA use PCI Express. NVIDIA uses the high bandwidth data transfer of PCIe for its newly developed Scalable Link Interface (SLI) technology, which allows two graphics cards of the same chipset and model number to be run as a pair, allowing increased performance. ATI also has developed a dual-GPU system based on PCIe called CrossFire. Towards the end of 2007, AMD released a motherboard chipset, the AMD 790FX, which supports up to four PCIe x16 slots, allowing tri-GPU and quad-GPU configurations for ATI cards.
Uptake for other forms of PC expansion has been much slower and PCI remains dominant. PCI Express is commonly used for onboard gigabit ethernet and wi-fi but add-in cards are still generally PCI, particularly at the lower end of the market. Sound cards, modems, serial port cards and other cards with low-speed interfaces are still nearly all PCI. For this reason most motherboards supporting PCI Express offer legacy PCI slots as well."

I just had this same problem. Same mobo. Same vid chip. Same TV card.

I resolved the problem by correcting the AGP apature size (256Mb) in the system board BIOS settings.
