Question about Computers & Internet
Switching motherboards and the wiring isnt the same. i have 2 yellow and 2 black wires making a square plug. dont know what it goes to and its not the same type of plug on the a7v400-mx board. can you help figure this out?
If the plug is square it is most likely the 12volts power supply for CPU fan on some motherboards. Don't worry about it, your motherboard does not require this connector and it probably gets the 12 volts from a different connector. Check your old motherboard to see if this connector is for a fan. You can power up and check this connector's voltage with a multimeter.
