Sounds like a heat issue... Check your BIOS and turn off anything that says "Thermal Threshold".

I don't know what OS you're running so I can't help from here. Let me know what happens...

Also check the thermal paste between the CPU and Fan/Heatsink.

Ok - in XP Pro... Right click on "My Computer" and then go to Properties. From there go to the "Advanced" tab - from there on the bottom of the window, remove the tick from "Automatically Reboot".

Now if this does not fix the issue, when (if) it blue screens, you'll find the exact reason why it's rebooting.

It won't hurt to do a virus scan on it either.

Windowx xp pro will not boot after seeing window logo. It shows a black sceen with the mouse cursor. I took out the battery from the A7V-ML motherboard for 2 hours

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

hope this helps

The best way to test which component is causing the issue is to strip down you mobo to just the CPU. Then try and boot. If it boots, you know the CPU is okay. Start adding components until you reach the point where it won't boot. The last item added will be the item that is not functioning. If it won't boot with just the CPU, and all of your jumpers are correct, then your mobo is your problem.

My Pc wont boot no signal in my monitor Help!

May be your in second HDD, you didn't set the jumper up. There are some more settings you will have to configure in the BIOS menu. in the BIOS, you should set the primary HDD as the master and the second(newer HDD) as the secondary. Then it should boot without any problem but if the problem persists I don't know what to do next.

Check heatsink/fan for CPU first. If this is Ok then try a new power supply.

How about your screen; is it good?

Your monitor cable, is it damaged?

Does the computer beep, to tell of booting progress?

Is the new MoBo really new? What about the video card?

Try different RAM. Bad RAM will not let a computer boot.
Try booting the MoBo out of the case: lay it out on wooden surface and plug in power supply and monitor, then turn on. Listen for beeps, HDD cranks. Also watch the screen.

Come back after doing these checks so we can isolate the problem.

MoBo Replacement

did you go into the new bios and check to make sure you have the hard drive setting on auto, then check your boot order that the drive is first to boot., if that doesnt work create a floppy boot disk (google it) and see if you see the hard drive when you do that.

AGP texture acceleration not avalable :(

Hi all, I am running Gigabyte M59SLI-S5 mobo, 6000x2 CPU, 4gigs 1066ram, 2 dvd-burners, a 6600GT vid card, and an X-fi sound card, all powered by a 650watt BFG PSU, in Vista Home Premium. Ever since I installed the new ram my pc is running very unstable, It isn't the ram as I've run various mem testers and what not. Every time I tell my PC to shut down it doesn't, not all the way. My monitor turns black, vid card and HDD turn off, but the RAM is still running (can tell because of the LED's on it), and so is the PSU (lights are on). What could cause this? I also don't have any viruses. I had problems with my old ram in this same mobo as well.

Also another problem is that sometimes when I boot my pc it has mobo Bios F4, and sometimes it shows an F8H. So it doesn't always boot under the same revision of the BIOS. I've tried flashing the BIOS and reupdating, but each time I do that it stays at the f8h version a few days then sporadically reboots in F4 or F8 revision.

What do I need to do? Get a new mobo? And is it unsafe for parts of my pc to turn off but the psu and ram not to? I wanted to wait until March or so to get a new mobo, but if this will damage other components should I get a new one now? I appreciate all answers, as I am completely bewildered by this, and no one I know has ever heard of this.

And a side note, I have checked my running temps and my CPU is about 40C under load and whole system case is about 27C under load.
