Sounds like tv is on wrong input. Be sure HDMI wire or cable input is connected to tv. Look at which input it is on. ( like HDMI 1. Or cable etc. take tv remote (with cable box on ) press input / video button and arrow down to different inputs ( slowly ) until the right input is detected or simply go to the right input you noticed the cable was connected to. Different inputs are there for different sources of connections like DVD. Games. Etc. each work like its own tv channel. Good luck.most times this happens when you are watching tv and press the TV. channel button which will take you to a different tv mode
Did you double check your connections with your AV cables. Otherwise you may want to try a new cable. Still make sure all connections are tight and secure and plugged into the right ports. If this doesn't work I would suggest call customer service for your DVD player.
I had issues when I set an SD override for the box, it would sometimes display as bad input when switching to HD content(as well as display all menus in SD even with HD mode in settings.) Turning that off in settings (also turned off "modes" which has no description) stopped it and gave me guide/menus in HD.
Check the cables first that connect to your video device, are they in tightly? Test the cables on another TV to make sure they haven't gone bad, which is common. Also check the input selection on the TV to make sure it matches with the video input the cable is connected to.
