Furnace goes out when blower should start

There is a sensor called a pressure switch that is attached to the area of the blower motor for the exhaust fan. It is bad or plugged.

LIght on box inside flashes 4 times on a new propane fill up

If the gas was empty for three days, the furnace may have attempted to start numerous times causing virtually ALL residual gas in the incoming line to be drawn out. You may consider purging the gas line at the clean out cap where the gas line enters the furnace. However, it should have restarted and stayed running after just a few times at the most because as long as the line was NOT disconnected from the main tank, there should be NO air inside the line to cause flame failure.

I'd suggest asking the service company to double check the furnace manifold pressure to ensure there is not a regulator related problem.

Three times this winter (on the coldest days no less) a tiny droplet of water froze internally of the regulator right on the orifice blocking gas flow.

It sounds like the flame sensor is bad. If thats not the case you may need to replace the control board. You should make sure the flame sensor is directly into the flame.

Sounds like you may have a dirty flame sensor. Try cleaning it with steel wool or Emory cloth.

Janitrol GUPS075-3 Furnace burners will not stay lit

The first thing I would do is make sure the flame sensor is clean, this is a metal rod immersed in the burner flame on the opposite side of the igniter. If too much oxidation builds up on it, it will not allow the burner to stay lit. To clean, just turn off furnace and remove flame sensor and clean with steel wool and then reinstall. If this does not solve the problem there may be a problem with the gas valve.

Furnace Pilot Light Won't Stay Lit

Here is something similar that happened to me. I went through the same steps you went through and upon closer inspection, I found a spider had made a web inside the supply line only letting a small trickle of gas through. Have you verified there is nothing blocking the line?

I would first check the gas pressure to your furnace. Then make sure that burners are clean and watch flames when burner first ignites. I have seen burners that were dirty cause delayed ignition that would create a suction when they came on and extingush pilot and burners.
The next thing I would do is change gas valve. Thank you

The goodman furnace will try and light three time before it faults out for safety reasons. Adjust the flame sensor so that it is closer to the flame or actually in the pilot flame. If the flame sensor is inside the pilot flame and still does not stay lit, your flame sensor is probably defective and should be replaced. You can get one at Ferguson's counter sales.

Gas furnace wont stay lit

sounds like the thermocouple that senses when the burner ignites is faulty. when the burner is first lit it looks for a signal from the thermocouple telling it that it has ignition. i have had some luck removing the part (furnace off) and sanding it clean. this is located in front of one of the burners..Good luck
