The woven leads between the terminal posts and voice coil go bad. they may appear intact, but they can still go bad. I unsoldered them, clipped a lil off the ends, and re-soldered them. works great.

Hi i just got 2 new infinity 860w reference 8'' subs 250 rms each and pushing it with sony 600watt amp pushing it but very low sound and no bass why the othier speakers i have in 10'' hit the bass fine but...

The amp may no thav eenough to push these subs, these are top of the line subs, they probably require a bigger amp, if you are running other speakers through this also, you certainly need another amp, or a bigger one with more channels. also double check all your wiring.

Need to know how to wire my system ...I have the infinity reference series 611a I was told it was a mono block but it has two channels on the exterrior...also I have two 12 inch MTX thunder dual voice coil...

it all depends on what kind of box the mtx subs are in as far as wiring the subs. The best way would be take the speaker wire from both sub boxes and run the positive into the right positive then the negative into the left negative. and run 8 gauge wiring kit to the amp because 10 might be to small and 4 is to big 8 gauge is perfect for this amp.

I wonder if i get two kicker cvx 10 can be push by jl audio 500.1

It can but it'd be a waste for your subs. 1 of those by itself will handle that amp. it'll push them just not really hard, i'd recommend an upgrade to a 1100-1200 watt rms amp if you're gonna run 2 cvx's. if you only run one sub that amp'll work well...

Infinity 1211a @ 2 Ohms

Hello monkey_flea, Your subs will share the amp output. And if you are not careful, you'll end up blowing them. The amp puts out 1300 watts RMS at 2ohms, the subs have an RMS power range of from 75-350 watts, and you'll be driving them with 650 watts each. A better power match would be to series the subs to present an 8ohm final load. This will reduce the output power to a level the subs can handle. Or you could buy 2 more 12.1's and connect them series-parallel for a 4ohm load and each sub would still be getting 325 watts RMS, just about the maximum they are rated to handle. Hope this helps.

Speakers won't play ''loud at all '' Just Very faint

they dont sound loud because you need to use the DUAL voice coils and make it 2 Ohms. Google " how to bridge a dual voice coil sub"

Blown sub, butIdon't know why

if you use a right channel on one coil and a left on the other different frequencies are going in different directions in each channel thus blowing a coil or badly damaging it-z

Why connect a car amp in series and will this help me?

Not sure if it's what was meant by previous poster. But if you're just driving the two subs off the 4 ch, and no other speakers, your best bet is to run pairs of bridged channels, ie use the 4 ch as a more powerful 2 ch amp. Then independently run one sub on each of these paired channels.

If you bridge all 4 channels (not sure if this is an option on this amp), and then run your subs in series, you will likely lose out compared to the peak power you could be seeing with two independently paired channels.

Agree with Kev. Even if the woven lead wire looks ok, it can still be bad. I unsoldered it, clipped a lil from both ends, and re-soldered it. Works great now.

Infinity PS-10 quit working

I think the electronics have a 3 years warranty and the drivers have a five years warranty for this product, maybe you can have it replaced. Maybe the auto on/off signal detector is the culprit.
