Question about HP Officejet 7210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

HP 7210 all-in-one is having trouble printing. At best, will print just the first inch or so of the document---at worst, prints only a few symbols at the top, or prints a meaningless barcode-like pattern, then repeats this for page after page. I've tried powering down printer and turning on again, re-booting computer, cleaning the print cartridges, reinstalling printer driver, checking all connections, but it hasn't resolved the problem (at one point it was better---printed almost all of the page, but not quite, but then got really bad again). Thanks in advance for your help!

It was a connectivity problem between the computer and printer. I had recently switched from a direct USB connection to a non-powered USB hub. Apparently, routing through the hub resulted in an inadequate, inconsistent connection between the computer and printer, so print jobs were garbled or only parts of the page were getting printed. Switching the USB cable back to a direct connection between the printer and computer completely resolved the problem.

PRINT AN ENVELOPE 9 X 4 HP 7210 ALL IN ONE

Hi there, my name is Lisa and I'd be happy to help. I have checked the specifications for the Officejet 7210, and from what I can see, 9x4 envelope printing is not supported. Here are the 4 supported envelope sizes:

U.S. 10: 105 x 241 mm (4.125 x 9.5 inches)
A2: 111 x 146 mm (4.4 x 5.8 inches)
DL: 110 x 220 mm (4.3 x 8.7 inches)
C6: 114 x 162 mm (4.5 x 6.4 inches)

I hope this explains what the 9x4 isn't working.

Feel fee to take a look at the specifications using the following link:

I hope this helps.

I have an HP Officejet 7210 All-in-One. I would like to know if there is any way to print a document that only needs black ink, even though a message always pops out that I have to remove and check the...

Hi

Black is not True black. It is slightly brown.

Printing in black uses mainly black but may also a tiny amount of a mixture of some of the other colours.

To minimize the usage of other colours:

HP Solution Center > Settings > Print Settings > Printer Settings > Color > tick Black Print Cartridge Only > OK.

HP ink can be expensive. It is possible to economize on HP inks in some cartridge formats by using Ink refill kits.

I hope this helps.

HP Officejet 7210 Is Very Very Slow (10 mins / page printing)

And I have exactly the same problem too that has happened in the last few weeks.

I've tried reinstalling the software/drivers and resetting the printer to factory settings but no joy. An upgrade either windows or HP must have caused this!

I suspect that you are looking at a flow control issue and not a printer failure.

You can check the printer driver and make sure your printer options for background printing.

Also, make sure that your document is not too busy. I've had customers complain about slow printing documents and when I examined the documents, I discovered that there were multiple images overlay ed. The data still had to be sent, but only the top image printed.

HP Officejet 7210 All-In-One printer two-sided printing

Had the same issue with an Officejet 7210.

Basically, what the printer is trying (not very well) to tell you is that it is not capable of handling the entire two sided printing project automatically - which for reasons that are completely obscure is the default setting for two sided print jobs - way to go HP!

To solve the problem, open up the printer's properties window (or preferences depending on your approach). On the printing shortcuts page, you should find a drop-down menu entitled Print on Both Sides. This drop down should read 'Automatic' (which indicates that the printer will print the first side, flip and reload the paper and print the other side without any intervention - yeah, riight). Simply change this setting to 'Manual' and the problem is solved!

Happy printing!

HP 7210 All In One Printer; printer speed

Could it be that you have the quality set to Best, either at the printer or through the application you are trying to print with? If so, on the printer, you can select Normal and in the application, select Properties on the Print window and find the Normal setting.

HP 7210 OfficeJet - unnecesary cartridge messages

We had the same problem - after 2 1/2 years suddenly the dreaded dialog boxes appeared out of nowhere! We had tech support on the phone for at least 30 minutes to no avail. Finally we uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and all software and it disappeared.
Good Luck!
