If this is a small spot it can be a dust on the censor. To confirm take a snap of the plain clear wall. If there are spots on the picture then it can be from the dust on the censor. There is a procedure of cleaning dust from the censor in the user manual. Be extra carefull since the scratch or stain on the censor will ruine you camera

Nikon D70S How do I delete images with "File

You should have a file protection option in the camera menu, access the picture, press the menu button and look for the protection options.

You can download the user manual from here:-

My Nikon D70 camera takes pictures that come out completely black

Check the MODE. With ANY camera with manual mode you can take black (underexposed) photos all day. If photos are black try and use an AUTO mode. Typical it has a GREEN Camera symbol. So many things can be set wrong on the camera and they are beyond this answer.

You need to go to the tools menu and change USB fro PTP (Picture transfer protocol) to MASS STORAGE. PTP is only used if controlling camera from computer.

3 black tiny spots on picture shot with nikon d70s

You probably have some dust on the cameras sensor.

There are a couple of sample images of what this looks like here and here.

Dust spots typically have a softish edge to them and affect more than 1 pixel. (if it is just the 1 pixel affected, with a very sharp edge, this could be a defective sensor).

Follow the instructions in the manual for cleaning the sensor. Avoid touching the sensor (unless it is with a specialist sensor cleaning brush) and avoid cans of compressed air; use a hand-blower brush instead.
