Flashing red dot (by 2 users)

When the camera is switched on, the screen remains black with a red dot that flashes for a few seconds. Photos are also coming out black. Can view previous photos.

When I put my camera on the eastshare printer dock plus series 3, the picures will not come up and the light is red . It says initializing ... please wait... and then goes black. The dock is new ant the camera works fine. Thanks

Maybe the CCD imager is dead. Please contact your nearest Sony Service.
