Question about Breville Die Cast 800ESXL Espresso Machine
You described how to increase the brew temp, but how do you decrease it? I live at high altitude, and the upper temp is above the boiling point, and I would like to decrease it. Saeco sells a 90 C thermostat. Should I try to replace it, or can you suggest some way to trick it into kicking off at a lower temp? I'm not sure the Saeco part would work. Thanks for your help.

We had that happen and it was a crack in the black ring that holds the filter. Breville could not supply us with one but we found an OEM part in aluminum from http://www.vancouverwireedm.com/caferomadiyt.htm. We received it 1 week after ordering. It was pretty easy to replace. Our machine works fine now.

There are 2 inserts pins in the steamvalve assembly, they need to be replaced replace. Easiest solution order a new valve assembly.

Try adjusting the grind four numbers coarser and brew a coffee, if you are getting the same result then the brew unit is clogged and the screen needs to be cleaned.

Same thing happened to me and I had to push down on the water tank a little more firmly. It looked like it was seated okay but I guess it needed to be pushed down more to open the little spring-loaded opening at the bottom.

I had the same problem. I opened up the back and disconnected the water hose from the spring loaded intake hose and put the hose directly into the tube and into the reservoir tank. Now it seems to **** the water in again. Not sure this is the best solution but it seems to work for now.
If someone has a better solution, I'd be happy to hear about it.
