Insert the driver cd at the prompt of new hardware discover and install automatically as recommended by your computer

The System requires hardware setup before it could be recognised so insert the cd that came with your phone the installation is automatic. auto run

  • lufolake Dec 03, 2008

Check your cdrom or better still clean your cdrom and make sure the cd you are using is the original driver cd that came with your phone.

NOTE: if you dont install the cd properly there will be no proper communication between your phone and computer system and as such you'll not be able to do anything on your phone via your computer.

How do I transfer my music ring tones from my laptop to my Palm Pre cellphone

The ringtones have to be in .mp3 format. If they are in .wav they wont work. First, connect your phone to your computer with the usb charging cord that came with the phone. Secondly, a notification should pop up on your device allowing you to select usb mode or just charge. Select usb mode. Then go to my computer on your computer. you should see a directory that says Palm Pre. enter that. Then open up a new explorer window and find where you put your ringtones. Select them all and right click and click copy. Then go to the first window, and right click, then click paste. remove the phone when its done transferring. When you go to sounds and ringtones settings on your phone, you will see when you are selecting a ringtone a little button in the lower left hand corner. Tap it. this will allow you to add files to your ringtones. After you tap them to add them to your ringtones, do a back swipe. Then tap the ringtone you want to use.

My Phone is being STUPID!! HELP!!

Hi Heather
The media card on the handset is not installed properly and not in the right mode
Please try these steps out
1. To install a memory card into your device Go to Options > Media Card.
2. Enable Mass Storage Mode by changing the option to “On”
3. Change “Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected” to Yes.
4. Connect the device to the PC
5. A Dialog will pop up
6. Select “Open A Folder to View Files”
7. Memory card will display all the folders on
8. Navigate to the BlackBerry folder
9. Navigate to the ringtones folder
10. Drag the ringtone downloaded from the PC into the ringtones folder.
Please do let me know whether the problem is solved or not.
Remember the first three steps are most imortant as that is where you install the media card and set it to the right mode
Good Luck and lets hope for the best

I cannot get my player to charge.

If the hold/lock is accidentally engaged, the computer will not recognize the player, and the player will not charge - so check that first.

If it is unlocked, then try another USB port on your computer.

If that still fails:
Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

I have a sch-r450 and i have a memory card but when i sync the music to the phone nothing happens

The problem is that the Samsung r450 needs to be hooked up to the computer as a mass storage device. When you first plug the phon into the computer, a box will pop up saying "found new hardware" Just click cancel. another box will pop up, just close it out. Once you do that, the computer should recognize it as a mass storage device and you should be able to go into My Computer and see a drive for a removable device. Open that up and there should be 4 folders, music, pictures, ringtones and sounds, I think. Just drag and drop music into the music folder and ringtones into the ringtone folder.

How to download my pictures off my motorola V3 phone to my Vista Computer

EUREKA got the solution to my own problems! through browsing on the forums in here and experimenting on the softwares. we had the same problem and YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY A SINGLE DIME! Motorola didn't really included any disk which should have helped its consumers. darn!

download the MOTO RAZR V3 usb driver software (or your specific mobile phone model) from nodevice.com.
mine is from this link: http://www.nodevice.com/driver/MOTO_RAZR_V3/get39383.html

then download your MPT or mobile phone tools software online, search through yahoo and google in quotes.

plug in your phone through the usb cable (any brand of cable). the PC will pop the message "found new hardware" you browse the folder where you have saved your usb driver software you've just downloaded. then click next. woohoo!

afterwhich, as the PC have recognized the device. open your MPT software that you should have also installed on your PC after downloading them. the software will react to configure it to your device, if this part fails, click on (on the phone model thingy that should appear on your computer screen) MENU>SETUP>NEW PHONE then follow the instructions, it should automatically initialize your phone.

try zedge.net they have cool and free downloads there too! enjoy!
please feel free to add me up or send me a msg/comment in this one so we can help each other out.

all the best! must pimp my phone ryt now! woohoo!
