Question about LG LFX25960ST Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator
I have an LG refrigerator with an Ice maker that stopped working. You said the I/M is bad but what is the I/M? How do I know that will fix my problem. I turned off the ice maker and now the wire will move and when I turn it on the arm moves from down position to the up position and the arms that pushes the ice cubes out cycles around. Everything seems to work fine except now the ice tray will not fill with water. when it stopped working the wire would not move. I thought it had just frozen so I thought turning it off and letting it thaw out would fix it but now it does not fill with water. When it stopped working there was water in the tray but it would not eject the ice. Now it seems to have thawed and work fine but does not fill with water. What do I need to replace? Can you help? That means that the evaporator fan system that releases the the ice cubes is not working as it should.
The heater, or evaporator fan and heating system must be checked, and fan, or solenoid, or element must be replaced.
Use the number listed on the owner manual if you want to call a technician.
Enter model number on this website to find schematics and replacement parts.

SOURCE: LG Ice maker
I got the same problem where the plate is cold and the water does not fill - saw this comment from other posting and help. Basically, the ice maker was stalled! Make sure you can see the green light is on, which means you have power. if its lit, press and hold the cube size button until i/m starts to cycle. If i/m runs, but does not fill then your water valve is bad. If i/m will not start then your i/m is at fault.

its the ice maker .water or condensation has built up in the ice maker modual and refroze upon turning unit back on.either get a new ice maker or uninstall the ice maker and let it dry for a few days and reinstall.but it could happen again that way.or maybe not.
