Want to use belkin n150 as wireless access point to ps3 and have no internet

Are you saying you are trying to setup a wireless connection, even though you don't have internet? Impossible!

Normal setup - Connect the ISP modem to main uplink port on router. Then connect pc to any other port. Done!

Now connect PS3 as normal. Look for the Belkin network SSID and Key. There is a small piece of paper underneath the router with default ID and password key. It is also noted on Web Admin page. You can always use the reset to clear any custom settings.

Access point option is only for unsecured connection. Do not use.

I reinstalled Windows into my computer because it had a virus. I have internet when the PC is connected to the modem. But when I run the linksys setup, linksys does not detect internet connection, so the...

Well you'r ISP connection is good since you have internet when connected to the modem (just be verry prudent since you have no security when connected to the modem)

First verify with you'r ISP what type of connection you have (STATIC IP, DYNAMIC IP/DHCP, PPPOE, etc...)
Ask you'r ISP if they can reset you'r account (MAC ADDRESS, PASSWORD, etc...)
You can also verify the connections from the modem to the router (CABLES, CONNECTORS, etc...)

Good luck!

Laptop dissconnects offten and takes a while to connect

Great job. Now what you need to do is make sure you are running the latest firmware version.

Try upgrading it by downloading the latest from Belkin's support site for your model.

Forgot password for my netgear range expander

Reset it and reconfigure it. You need to know the configuration of your wireless router to make your range expander work again. Can you still connect to the Internet without the range expander?

Router not seeing internet connection

If you are on cable internet, you need to perform MAC Address Cloning. Access the router's setup page using your main PC, under SETUP tab, there's a sub-tab called MAC Address Clone. Enable that and click on "Clone My PC's MAC" then click on Save Settings. Power cycle the router and the modem. You should be online after that.

HELP

I had to manually set access on my Wii even though it said everything was right.

If you can manually set it up, do that. You will need the IP numbers, which can be found by going to a command prompt, and typing ipconfig /all.

You will see 192.168.xxx.yyy and 255.255.255.0, and 192.168.zzz.uuu.

The first is the IP of the computer your on.
The second doesn't matter, but you'll enter the same on the PS3.

The third you'll duplicate in the PS3.

Setup any security you may have, and it should work. Let me know what you come up with. I have suggested this to others, but have not checked to see if this made their system work.

Wireless shows connection, but will not connect.

This kind of problem occur due to dhcp disable in the wireless router for the security purpose. So try to give the ip adress manually by right clicking on the wireless and give the ip adress of the same range in which your network in working e.g 192.168.1.0 is the range of your ip addresses so please select the ip which is not been used by any other computer and than in default gateway enter the ip address of you wireless router and you will be able to access the internet on your system.

Router not working

has it worked before? if so, try to power cycle the devices by turning off everything. then turn on your modem first, wait for the lights to turn on on the modem before powering on the router. check if you're online
but if the router is for initial setup, you can try to run the cd first and follow the instructions. you need to make sure also that you can access the internet directly from your modem

hope this'll help you but if you still experience the same problem, just provide your ISP, the model of your modem and how are you connecting the devices

ciao!

Security

If you do not have wireless security enabled then anyone within the range of the radio transmitter will be able to use your internet access.

A G band router has about a maximum range of 300 feet which is greatly reduced by walls, wiring and other items in your home.

If your using a wireless laptop you can do a site survey by walking around outside your home to get an idea of the range your router has.
