Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV
Unplugging and resetting used too fix this problem for me that stopped working about 2 weeks ago if u have any insite into this problem I would be greatly thankful I'm pretty handy but never done this type of work i'm guessing its the caps at fault but not sure. If u have any tech info on this don't have $1000 bux to fix this but cant see putting it out to the crub for someone else to fix
Pull the back off and look at the power supply board....the one with the big black heat sinks. The capacitors will be swollen on top. VERY easy to see what ones are bad. I think they are 4700uf at 25volts. The board is on the left side when viewed from the back. These sets are VERY difficult to work on, but the power supply isn't too bad to get to. Stay to the left of the t.v. and you'll see a few screws that hold the unit inplace. It will slide out once removed. Take you time and just look...You'll see how it's held in. Very do-able fix. These sets have alot of problems down the road, but the power supply is a easy fix that may buy you some time.
