Another possibility is that a thermal cutout may have popped. Not sure how your particular machine is laid out, but the following guidance would have worked equally well for either of the washer-dryers I've had in the last fifteen years. Underneath the worktop is a large flat metal duct (which houses the dryer heater element). Onto this are screwed some (guess two or four) thermal cutouts - these are flattish round things 1 to 2 cm in diameter with a couple of lugs on to attach them to the duct and a couple of electrical connections - may look like the itme here: http://www.dabsspares.com/product.aspx?c=1085&ma=775&mt=0&mo=677696&id=488271 Look to see if any of these have a button (often just a little plastic rod) coming out the middle. If you find any of these, FIRST MAKING ABSOLUTELY SURE THE POWER IS OFF, give the button a push. If you're lucky, you'll hear a click and the cutout will be reset. A.

This will be the heater at the top of the drum open cuircuit. or the thermostat o/c. or if you can no longer hear the cuirculation fan spining , then this is your problem. appliance doctor

No heat when drying

I have a Miele WT2780 where the fan motor stops spinning. This will stop the dryer from working even though the element heats up. The failure of the fan will not blow the air across the heating element and thus into the drum. New motors fitted are around £400 min. I am never going to buy another Miele - mine failed after 6yrs.

Another problem is the thermostat can trip. This is a small button inside the machine (TURN OFF MAINS ELECTRIC AND UNPLUG FROM WALL then remove the lid) on the right hand side of the alloy centre channel at the top. It has two wires connected to the switch and in the centre there is a small black button. Press it firmly and it will heat up again. If this keeps tripping then the air duct could be blocked with fluff. This is my next task as mine now trips more frequently so will post back here with instructions.
Update 12/10/16 - problem returned so dismantled top of air duct having removed the lid - tight torx screws - inside chamber was full of fluff. Removed and cleaned - all good now!.

Kenmore Series 70 Stopped heating up

Dryers have a thermal cut-out (TCO) that can trip in an overheat condition. Yes, it is possible to restrict air flow from clogged lint and cause this overheat condition. The TCO acts as a fuse and cannot be reset. If defective, it must be replaced. Here is a link that also explains other causes of dryer heat related failures:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r630242-dryer_runs_but_not_heat

Now...normally if there is heating circuit failure, such as the TCO or heating element, the dryer drum will still rotate. The dryer just does not heat. If this is not your symptom, you may have another cause to your failure. This next link, provides more detailed symptom elaboration:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385301-thorough_dryer_advice

Pay particular attention to the sections in these links that discuss proper dryer ventilation. Poor air flow is the number one cause of dryer failures and dryer fires.

What is your model number? This will determine how your dryer is configured and where the heating components are located. If you have further questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Dryer not working

If the drum is not moving: There is something stuck inside your furness blower( could be some pice of cloth). Open the furness and remove the piece and your dryer will be working fine afterwords. If the Drum is working fine; the coil valve, fuse or the gas ignitor could be the problem; usually repacing the coil valve will fix the problem
