the right button would not work at all, for anything, for days & days, and then today it has started working off and on, but not dependable, can I buy a new mouse without having to buy the whole package with the keyboard too?

My mouse quit working suddenly. I replaced the batteries and uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers but I can even get the lights to come on. So after 3 months it looks like it just died for no reason

    Holy Cow!!!
I was using two mice for the past few months...the 6000 to fluidly move about and an old PS/2 emachines to RT click only. Well my daughter decides to RT click the crappy MS 6000 one day and VOILA!!!! The ****** came back to life....No change has been made since Dec/Jan and the just started working again...does that extend my warranty??? So my tip is to keep the mouse around it just may come to life one day.

Sounds like a bad button. Does it still feel and click like the left? Try another mouse to rule out software.

The wireless dongle plugged into the computer is on a specific frequency and you wont be able to peer it with a different mouse. However if it is a Bluetooth and not wireless, you can pair another Bluetooth mouse no problem.

I have a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000 that also has a very short range. The only solution I've found so far is to plug the receiver into a USB extention cord and run the cord toward the mouse.

How do I sync a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000?

You have to have the mouse and the usb receiver on the same channel. There should be a small button on both devices. First press the button on the mouse to see if starts to work. repeat at least 5 times to get through all the channels. If it doesn't work, then try pressing the buttons on the usb receiver and the mouse. I hope this helps.

Microsoft wireless laser keyboard 6000 v2.0 keyboard not working

You have to press the button on the receiver that is directly connected to the computer. While doing this, press the connect button both the mouse and the keyboard. I did this and now my keyboard is working, despite the battery indicator turning itself off a few seconds after I install it.

Hope this solves your problem.
