Mouse installation going wrong

Bought new laptop, also bought matching HP bluetooth mouse....have tried 3x to set it up. I put the setup disc in, works fine, get to the screen where I have to click on two links and follow the directions to complete the setup. The first link goes fine but the 2nd linke does not (the ''pairing'' link). I click on it and it goes for a second then I get a message saying ''cannot find BtCoreIf.dll'' or something similar about not locating that component. It then says that re-installing should fix the problem...except that it hasnt as I tried twice after that. Help!

Why Genius traveller 6000x Brand New WONT WORK?

you may need to first add a bluetooth device to ur pc/laptop.
There's usually a "synch" button on the mouse..check underneath where the batteries go..it may be larger, if built to follow the design of the mouse or it may be smaller if its "clearly a button".
You need to attach the bluetooth dongle to ur pc/laptop, then after the drivers install, press the synchchronize button on the mouse.
Good luck!

Could be a defective disc. You could try 1.copying the entire disc to a temporary folder on your hard drive and running setup from there, 2.check the manufacturers website for a downloadable version.
