Question about Sharp Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have two Sharp Flat Screen TV model # LC-26SB14U. One is hooked up to a regular Dish Network HD receiver. The other is hooked up to a HD DVR receiver. Both are hooked up to the same Phillips DVD player. The problem that I am having is that on the TV hooked up to the HD DVR receiver, I can access all four options in the view mode- side bar, stretch, zoom, and s. stretch. The other TV can only access two of the view modes- stretch and zoom. I thought that perhaps there is some sort of reset, but I cannot find one. Is there a particular reason that I cannot access the other two view modes? When we first bought the TVs, both of them could access all four settings. It seems that one has been lost. Is there a way that I can get all four settings back?

If you using the component input on both tvs I will check the settings on the receivers, "HD setup", the difference is because the settings are set one on 480i and the other on 1080i

Why can't i see 1080p programs on my directv hd dvr? The test on the hdr says my receiver doesn't receive 1080p. My tv is a Sharp LC-62C42U which is suppose to receive 1080p!

Your DVR can't detect whether your TV can do HD or not. If the message is stating that your receiver (which is your DVR) can't receive 1080P, then you'll need to contact DirecTV for assistance. You may need to replace your DVR.

Does the sharp Aquos LC-52 support HDCP? I have Dish Network and for some reason can't watch any HD PPV channels, Dish Network says it's a TV issue. Can you help?

DISH Network blocks multiple video outputs on all PPV and most premium content to prevent recording, and they will tell you it is a TV issue. Ensure that your receiver only has one video cable coming out, to only one device (ie HDMI to the TV) and try again.

Sharp Aquos LC 32G4U not receiving any channels-

Most locations are real hard to get local stations using indoor antennas. If you are in a location where you do not have cable, I would try either a outside antenna on the roof or go with Direct TV Dish / Dish Network system.
I hope this helps,

Just got 46" lcd sharp tv with hd dvr dish reciever on display it shows it has 480p how do i get 1080P

If your dish receiver can receive 1080p then you will get it, if it doesn't then probably the most is 720p/1080i. Check the dish resolution.

You will need to run a set of audio cables from the TV1 output on the rear of the 625 directly to one of the three audio inputs on the surround system. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Hooking up a dish network to my tv

Well, I don 't have that T.V. but I can tell you that you may have to go to your menu and look for your channel setup and change it to another channel output. If that doesn't help then have it search for channels.
