Question about Panasonic SDR-H18 USB Hard Drive

1 Answer

I have Panasonic SDR-H18 camcorder. I have a HP Pavilian dv9000 laptop. I was able to transfer files to my computer as couple of months ago but I can't transfer anything now. About three weeks ago my laptop was infected by Rapid antivirus and spyware. The tech was able to savemy files but some of the program info was lost. I think that might be my problem in trying to download and transfer my camcorder files. I can't find the installation CD for my SDR-H18. How can I get my problem squared away. I have some files on the SD card of my SDR camcorder that I need ASAP to produce a DVD in the next week. Jay

For some reason, the chat session disconnected. Musthave been a glitch, delay/lag or plain disconnect. Our apologies forany inconvenience.

I have to agree that most probably theinterface/driver/software foor your computer to recognize and accessthe video from the Panasonic SDR-H18 camcorder was lost and thereforenneded to be re-installed again.

Pls start here. Download, install and run.

Justa start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additionalinformation. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Incidentally, you can still access the contents of the SD card using a memory card reader either built-in to the computer or an external USB.

    Cheers.

Panasonic SDR-H18 Camcorder - I would like to transfer the video from harddrive to the sd card

Did you ever figure out how to do this? I have misplaced the cord to transfer files from the HD to the computer, and I would like to not have to purchase one through Panasonic (Best Buy didn't have one). I just want to transfer the files from the HD to the SD card while in the camera, and then take the card out and put it in the Mac. Any luck?
