My dad just called me 2 days ago and said he was having same prob. with his scandisk 250, which i got him for bday. i searched and found your post with same prob. went there tonight and took a look., it appeared to be playing , but in the top left corner of screen i noticed two lines { II} it was in a pause mode, but it looked like it was playing song, but no sound was coming from headphone. i pushed the button on the front where you will see > or II . one push and your in playmode, one more push and your in pause mode. somehow he pushed it when changing headphones. hope this helps you

Everytime m headphones move my zune acts like they fell out and stops playing but they didnt so i bought new headphones and found out it was the zune that was acting up........i was wondering if it cant be...

Sounds like the headphone jack has broken solder connections to the circuit board. Mine MP3 player did too.
Fix it with a REALLY small-tipped soldering iron, re-solder the jack connections... not real easy.
Or return/exchange it.

I need to find head phones

i haven't been able to find them either, so i went to radio shack and bought a small (can't remember what it is called) device that is about as long as your pinkie finger to make regular headphones work. It has the right size stick on one side and a slot for standard headphones on the other. It was about $5.
Bulky compared to device, but it makes it compatible with most headphones.

Head phone jack only plays right side/brad new headphones

Call Philips, get replaced - this is a common problem across all mp3 manufacturers. You can look at the YouTube video on repairing mp3 player headphone jacks, but i doubt it will work without causing more problems with your mp3 player.
