Vance Baldwin has also the replacement , but is more expensive , see 250814

    First seller was cheaper: replacement.

Better the first link I gave, alternatively take the power adapter to an electronic spares shop like Circuitcity and see if there is an universal power adapter with same plug.

The camera will charge and will record if it is plugged in. As soon as it's unplugged from the power source, the camera no longer works. Any suggestions? Thanks !

is the camera still under warranty? it sounds like the battery is no longer charging on the camera. If still under warranty you could bring it back to where you bought it from.
Otherwise you may need to get a replacement battery, ebay is probably your best bet.
Hope this helps!

I have a RCA cc6364, had it for years. I bought a new battery years ago and it won't hold a charge, when the battery is on it says Remove and Retach Batterys; unit in safeguard mode. I don't know if I need...

Does your camera work of a Power Adapter? If it does, then the battery is most likely at fault. If however it will not, then it will be the camera.

RCA VHS-C screen for sculpture

The resistance of hte wire is not the major problem. While it will degrade the signal somewhat, the main problem will be outside interference. You would be better off trying to hide the camera closer to where the screen must reside and usinga ribbon cable only a few inches longer. You will need to find a service manual for that model to get the pinout of the cable.

Good luck.

RCA cc540 VHS camcorder

Hi, Try running the camera using the AC power (charger) instead of the battery. If the viewfinder works then, it is possible that the replacement battery somehow is not suited for your particular brand/model and is not capable of supplying all the need voltages/power. Try continuously charging the battery for 16 hrs at least to see if this will correct the problem. If even in using the AC power (adapter) instead of the battery, the view finder is still off, then you have a camera fault. Normal problem for this is the thin flexible flat cable that attaches the screen to the electronics inside the camera. In some case, it is the backlight of the display that is at fault. Either which would require the services of a qualified professional. Hope this be of some help/idea to you. Good luck and kind regards.

Do the following: * Turn your camcorder's power off, then disconnect the power source (battery or AC adapter). * Remove the clock battery, if equipped with one. * Wait a few minutes, then reinstall the clock battery. Reconnect or install the power source — battery or AC. * Then try turning on the power again.

Unclear picture

For Models: CC6254, CC6364, CC6374, CC6384, CC6394. When using Quick Review to check the end of your last recording, some distortion at the beginning of the playback is normal. When using the Retake mode to record a scene, the video may darken or become monochromic. Noise bars may also appear. This is normal.
