Need Help with a 9311TS - viewing movies while the car is running

Hi i have a 9311ts and i am trying too to watch the movies while the car is on. How do I accomplish that? Which cable should I ground? Their is a pink cable but I have tried to ground it and the picture will not go on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, i just bypassed my 9411 by doing the following. put dvd in the player wait until it loads, then push the stop button 2 times on the remote push 1264, on the right button push it twice down and in once...this should take you to the system setting there you want to turn off the brake overide on..push the left button once or just wait for the screen to return to the movie....I hope this works as good as it did for me...let me know.....later

My jensen cd player model 9311ts will not let me insert a cd yet the screen reads no disk

try to use clean n shiny disc (scratch less Cd), if it won't work, try to clean the optical lens with Cd cleaner, if it doesn't work either, you might need to replace the optical lens of the Cd player

Can't watch movies in full screen view when running on battery

It might be on a power saving plan. You can change it if you want to but running it on battery while watching movies will drain the battery fast. Anyway, right-click the battery icon on lower right of the screen or search for power options. You can see what plans your laptop is saved to. Choose balanced or high performance or recommended settings.

if you are experienced or just have enough confidence in yourself with electronics... try opening the top of the radio and check the video ribbon. DO NOT TRY THIS IF YOU ARE NOT SURE OF YOURSELF! I am not responsible for any damage caused to yourself or your radio.

How do i bypass parkingbreak for a jensen 9311ts on mustang 99

take the parking brake wire should be pink or some funky color and hook it up to a +12 power source.
that way there is no need to use the e brake or anything for it to work

But as a word of caution all this is illegal in most states due to people not keeping their eyes on the road. ive read of people getting tickets for having disabled this security feature on their stereos. some insurance companys will not cover you if there's an accident you are involved in and you by-passed the safety feature. so before you do it, be sure to read your local laws and check with your insurance agent before doing it. you will not be happy finding things out the hard way.

I have the vm 9311ts how do i bypass to watch movies while i drive

I have the same head unit in my Audi. Here's what you need to know: DVD head units have one extra wire in their wiring harnesses, compared to a standard CD head unit. On the Jensen, it's a peach-colored wire, and is the activation wire for the DVD feature. During the installation, the instructions call for this wire to be tapped into the emergency brake indicator light wire. The reason is this:

The e-brake indicator light is what is called a "ground complete" circuit. That means that the bulb always has power applied, but when you pull the brake, that puts a ground to the wire and completes the circuit, allowing it to illuminate. The head unit sees this ground, and activates the DVD player.

In mine, I simply ran this wire to a ground (I used a screw near the fuse box), and I put a switch on the wire, so I could break the ground contact at will. Jensen calls for a procedure to activate DVD playback. In their instructions, they tell you to select DVD from the option menu, and when the "lawyer screen" comes up (the one warning you to park before you watch a movie), you release the e-brake for 3-5 seconds, and then reapply it. To simulate that with the switch I used, I leave the switch closed (activated), and select DVD. Then I flip the switch "off" for 3-5 seconds, and flip it back "on". This tricks the head unit into thinking I put the e-brake off for a few seconds and then put it back on, and the movie will start. Then I can drive away.

Basically, ground the wire that is used for DVD activation, and put a switch inline on it. Then you can break and reapply the ground in the manner of the e-brake cycle I mentioned earlier.

Burnt DVDs

Try this (this is the procedure for the 9311TS model, which I have, and it should be the same for yours too) - put in a regular movie, and do what you need to do in order to be able to watch the movie (cycle the e-brake handle, toggle a switch - however you have it set up). When the movie comes on, using the remote, hit STOP twice, then type in 1264, and a hidden menu will appear. This menu has the macrovision toggle - turn that on. While you're in there, you can also disable the parking brake bypass (turn the bypass on - no more e-brake handle or toggle switch!). Then hit the SYS SETUP button on the remote twice to save the choices you made, and you should be able to watch the burned movie then. You'll also find that it's nice to be able to just stick a DVD in and have it start playing.

In dash

I don't think you can - it's likely that it's an LCD-type screen illumination, not bulbs that can be changed. I haven't yet heard of anyone able to do this. I wish it was possible though - I have the 9311TS in my Audi, and the Audi uses red dash illumination.
