In the past when this has happened to me I have had to replace the chuck. Problem is, the chuck is not a normal one and the correct chuck has a list price of about 65 pound and needs a special service tool to take it off and put it on again.

How do I release pressure from the hose on a pressure washer

would it be possible to unscrew the quick connect fitting SLOWLY until water starts to drip out of threads thus allowing the pressure to drop down slowly to the point of being able to release the hose coupler?

How do i insert bit in cordless dewalt keyless hex chuck?

It only accepts 1/4" hex shank bits and nut drivers. Mine just pops in and to release it, you push the black collar around the bit down. Cannot put round end bits in it. Only hex shanks

I have a Hitachi WH 18 DFL cordless impact driver, which I love. I was doing a little bit of heavy drilling, and now the drill bit is stuck. The sleeve extends as if to release the bit, but the bit do

My guess is that the bit twisted a little in the bit holder so the steel ball is bound. If the collar moves you could try a slide puller on the bit and see if you can impact it out with the slide puller. Or you could take the bit holder apart. There is a retaining ring that holds it all together right on top. Pull that off and a washer, spring and the collar will come off. Becarefull to watch for the steel balls on the spindle. They WILL fall out! Now hopefully the bit will come out. If not it may need to be twisted in the oposite direction that it got stuck when you were using it to break it free. Hope that helps and good luck!

DeWalt DC925XE Keyless chuck keeps undoing when reversing screws releasing driver bits.

You must never oil the chuck so if this has been done then it can be the cause of your problem

I have a new DeWalt DC725 cordless compact 1/2" drill/driver/hammerdrill. The only problem so far has been that the keyless single sleeve chuck will now not open to release a 1/2" drill bit. I have twisted...

place the bit in a bench-vice and take a little benchhammer and with a plastic hammer .
hold the hammer with chisel tip on the claws of the chuck and tap with the plastic hammer on the other side of the bench hammer and beat gently on the three claws tighten the chuck three-step around gently around so the bit slowly from the drill bit comes slowly loose.
if the bit is out you can turn the chuck free, if this problem repeats go to the dealer for warranty .

Remove existing phillips no chuck avalible in this model

Take a phillips screw driver and stick it into one of the key holes. Then take a flat head screwdriver and stick in one of the slots. And prise against the phillips.

Or you can wrap a belt or strap around the chuck hold it tight, then put the drill in reverse and unscrew it.
