Melded mass of ice in bin

Here is what I know: Ice Maker Model Number CME456A8-1B; Ice Maker Serial Number 687872-018; Ice Bin Model Number B322S; Ice Bin Serial Number 08081320010761; Product Manual in hand, circa 2003, but no help regarding the current problem.

Current Problem: Most of the ice cubes freeze into a solid block of ice; After removal of only about 10 – 15 pounds of ice, you run into the solid block of melded ice cubes; The bin was emptied about 5 days ago, thinking that the accumulation of the solid mass of ice cubes was caused by lack of consistent use over a period of time; Within two days, the bin was full of ice again, and the solid block of melded cubes was back; The size of the melded mass of ice cubes goes from the bottom of the bin clear up past the baffle in the back and about 16 inches high in the front, measured from the bottom of the bin, and about 16 inches deep toward the top of the bin, measured from the back of the bin, and fully deep on the bottom; Or, put more simply, the melded mass of ice cubes takes up about two thirds of the bin.

Can you help?

Your unit could be cascading water into bin..make sure baffle in the back is on..if you put your hand in bin where ice falls..youll feel a considerate amount of water falling...make sure your keeping door closed...just turn off..bout half way full..see if it makes a difference

The only thing I can offer is to limit the out put of the machine closer to what your needs are.Or bag the ice and store in a freezer. The ice pushing down while melting is what is causing the BIG FREEZE. The bin for storage may be too big for your needs, at least at the time you write this. When the demand goes up (warmer weather) the ice would be used more and the pressure pushing down will alternate as well as people getting scoops out more often this will help prevent such a freeze up in warmer weather.

Dce33a1bb ice maker makes ice but doesn't stay frozen

Poor draining of water in the ice bin will cause a high rate of ice melting, Remember this is not a freezer but an ice maker. If the machine is making ice OK but it is melting to fast then check to make sure the bin is draining all the melt off and not letting water stand in bin causing ice to melt fast.

Do you have a new one? Try comparing the values. There are several types of thermistor. Do you have the type number?

Adjust temperature on B530P

The model number you gave is for the ice storage bin. There is no temperature adjustments on the ice bin or the ice machine. The bin is just a storage bin it is not refrigerated. Non of them are.

Won't make ice

The bin should fill up and the machine shut off in 24-36 hours from time it is turned on. If not the condenser coil may be dirty.
1.Clean the coil this should be done every year.
The bin brain may be partially restricted causing ice to melt faster.
1. clean out the drain.
The air flow to the condenser may be obstructed.
check to make sure there is nothing covering up the grill or coil.

ONLY A LITTLE ICE BEING MADE

the ref. valve is it blinking? If so its telling us we have a problem. Could be a drain issue or a bad thermistor. Depending on the model and serial it could mean a board and thermistors because their calibrated together.

Uline ice maker clr2060- makes ice continuously, would overflow and ice build up on condenser.

This is a problem when the thermistor in your icebin is not being satisfied. Now there is a break in the serial number to find out if you have a thermistor or a mechanical thermostat. If the serial number is before 03 (first 2 digits is the year)and the 2 digits between the dashes is 11(the month) the replace the bin thermostat. If newer then you need to replace board and thermistors.
