Re alligning the stylus

I have a nintendo Ds which i cannot re calibrate. The pen is way out of line and when I do the calibration re set the screen will carry on endlessly when it should stop after each point has been touched. hopethis makes sense....wondered if there was a faulty part, maybe the screen which I could replace to solve the problem? Any advice would be very welcome. Many thanks

Its one of two things
1) there is dirt under the edge of the screen. try to clean it out with a thin piece of card or a fine toothbrush
2) the screen has broken and you will need to repair or replace it. replacing the screen is hard but possible, I have done it once before when this problem happened, it does fix the problem.

there are 2 parts to the screen, the actual LCD itself and the overlay which senses where you are pressing. In this case its the overlay that is broken. It is not expensive to buy, but it is tricky to fit. You may break your DS trying. a google search should bring up videos on how to dismantle the DS.

Good luck!

Calibrate touch screen

Actually, the red cross's movement is part of the calibration. Continue clicking each individual red cross until you get a confirmation notion notice.

In order to calibrate the touch screen, the DS needs to know where certain areas of the touch screen are relative to the actual display. Basically, you're not really controlling the display. You are interacting with a hidden interface, which is the touch screen. But in order for you to "interact" with what you are seeing, the touch screen is laid across the display.

Stylus Does Not Match Up With Touch Screen. Has Been Like This For Ages. Sent It Back Once But Did'nt Make A Difference. Could You Maybe Give Us Some Money Back?.

I think your touchscreen must not be calibrated correctly. Turn on your ds without a game and go to the little tiny ds a the bottom. Then click on the yellow orangish icon and it will start calibration. Just touch the marks with the target things to calibrate it.

My screen wont calibrate

Do you mean you calibrate the screen and you can never accept the changes?

The lower screen in the DS Lite is actually 3 pieces. The lower screen, then the touch screen on top of it and then a clear plastic cover on top of that. If you are very rough with stylus on the clear plastic and leave dents or gouges this will damage the touchscreen.

From your basic description the touch screen needs to be replaced.
