Gateway sx2851-41 turns on but won't start windows

Hi,

It appears that the Windows is corrupted on your computer, you can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key & keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction.
NOTE: This will erase all the datas on the computer.

If the above steps are not working then I am sorry to say that it is going for repair as the Hard disk might have corrupted.

Thanks and regards,
Jitha

Your Wii comes with a 3 month warranty through Nintendo.

You may need only simple instructions to correct a problem with your product. Try our web site at www.nintendo.com or call our Consumer Assistance Hotline at 1-800-255-3700, rather than going to your retailer. Hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Pacific Time, Monday - Sunday (times subject to change). If the problem cannot be solved with the troubleshooting information available on-line or over the telephone, you will be offered express factory service through Nintendo or referred to the nearest NINTENDO AUTHORIZED REPAIR CENTER. Please do not send any products to Nintendo without contacting us first.

My NV54 went to black screen then grey tried reboot get screen to start up ...loading but nothing comes up. It was shipped to me three weeks ago.

Hi,
Because the machine is new and in warranty i recommend that you contact Gateway to arrange to send it to them for repair. They will take you through a few troubleshooting pointers first before booking it in.
I would not try fixing the problem without help from a Gateway technician as because its new its up to them to deal with and laptops are designed to last at least a year before problems arise but in your case it's three weeks. There is obviously something wrong for it to go down within such a short length of time.

Good luck.
