Ok, if your using Vista, what i want you to do is right click "computer" select "manage" and then "device manager", then click on the + sign next to "network adapters" and right click on the wireless network and "un-install" the device, reboot the PC and wait for windows to detect the wireless card and install the drivers for it, this will appear in the system tray (bottom right hand side) when its done try to connect again

keep me informed please

regards and don't forget to rate us please

all you have to do now is reset the modem, make sure the wireless is dissabled in device first, reset the modem by removing the mains power for 30-60 seconds, power it back up and wait a couple of minutes for it to reset istelf.
Go back to the pc and activate the wireless, it should now pick up your network, have your network key ready just in case its asks for it

    kind regards

Your need to use one or the other wireless manager applications - Windows or the application that came with the Mini-PC Card (Broadcom BCM94306MP). Sounds like Windows is managing the device. Check your Wireless Network settings.

Toshiba sattelite 1905-s301 with broadcom 802.11g wireless mini pc card does not see my wireless router

The system's chipset has compatibility problems with a number of WiFi cards - not just Broadcom but also Intel, Atheros... etc. You installed a card, loaded drivers, and it sees no signals.

Nothing left to do but to get a different card and try again. This following card will, for sure, work: MPC13A-20/R. It's an 802.11b card but ... don't laugh ... it's a little speed demon when installed in one of these 1905's.

My broadcom network adapter is not working. It

Some HP notebooks will disable the wireless card when you connect an ethernet cable. Or it could have power saving turned on for that device. Check device properties and disable powersaving mode for any network devices. If it has been functioning fine and this is a recent development, your network card could be failing but there isn't enough data at this point to make that conclusion.

I want to install a Dynex wireless adapter

No such thing as a generic driver for a wireless card. That card uses a Broadcom bcm4318kfbg chipset, so you may be able to get a driver from the Broadcom site. If not, go shopping for a card that supports win98.....sorry.

Hope this helps!

Cant get network to recognize the cable connection

XP doesnt install the right device drivers for the NIC card (LAN card) if you have the origianl Device utilities disk, you can insert it and find those drivers (they will be checked) if no disk, use another pc and go to and enter the tag# locate the networking device drivers and its going to be a Broadcom 47xx driver. if not that try others till it works.

Broadcom bcm94306mp does not detect networks

A bcm94306mp is a Dell B/G Wireless Internal card - and dell doesn't usally play well with compaq, you can download driver for it :

- but, since there was a slot for the card to go in, there also should be connectors that attach (for internal antenna) which without would get very little or no signal. If the orginal card was bad, you should have gone for a USB or PCMIA wi-fi card.
