Playstation 3 got hot and stop working ,it will not turn on what is the problem? Also how do i get disk out?

I haven't heard of a PS3 getting so hot it bricks. If it won't turn on at all, you have no choice but to open it up to remove the disk. All of the "bricked" PS3's I have ever heard of, only has 1 solution......Buy a new one. There is no way to fix it if it's bricked. If you are not familiar with the term, "Bricked" means the system is completely unresponsive. No power or anything. I will hook you up with a link how to remove a disk from the PS3 with no power.

Red light on xbox 360 adaptor

Under the power brick there is a description for what the lights mean.
Red means there is a fault with the power brick.

Here is a great guide on what to do:
http://www.thetechedition.com/xbox-360-repair-meaning-of-the-red-power-supply-light/

To run you through:
If the power brick is too hot, let i coll down then try again.

If the plug is connected into an extension cord, surge protector etc.. it might be reducing the voltage so plug it into its own socket.

If those dont work you might need to get a replacement adaptor failing that it could be a problem with the console itself but unlikely.

My xbox 360 is not coming on but there is no red rin of death. And on the box on the powercord no light is coming on. I left it in a hot room for a long time. can anyone tell me what is wrong?

Hi, if you take the power lead out the back of the xbox and plug it into the mains and switch it on you should get an orange light this should light up without the xbox being connected if this orange light on the power brick dont light up then check the fuse in the plug, change it anyway with one of the same type ie amp, then plug it in and give it a try if it it gives you orange light plug it into your xbox and you should be up and running, if it still dont work then the power brick needs replacing, see if you can try a friends to make sure your xbox hasnt blown as well and hopefully all you need is the power brick.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

Hi,

You should be able to get an Xbox 360 power brick from eBay.

By the way, what is wrong with your power brick?

My xbox wont turn on i just got it back because i got the 3 rings of death i plugged everything in and it wont turn on i am extremly pissed what the hell is wrong with it?

Is the light on your power brick red, if so this is your problem, its overheating, if cooling it down does'nt work try another power brick.

If the power brick light is orange, but no power at all to the console, look into the usb ports on the front of the console, its easier if you remove the faceplate, make sure there is no damage or bent pins touching, this will short your console so it wont switch on.
Remember thumbs up if this works.

Powerpackgetsreallyhot

Make sure it's not sitting on carpet of any type, Blow it out with a can of "air". The power bricks will get warm, but it shouldn't get "hot"

Ps3 is freezing after 10-15 min have taken mach. apart and cleaned, seems as if fan is running

Try new heatsink paste on the CPU and GPU. Sounds like you are having a heat problem. Check how hot the power supply box is getting as i have replaced a few that got extremely hot and would make the PS3 shutdown, no video, frozen screen ect. If it is the power supply there are a few places you can purchase them online. Good Luck.

Wii games keep restarting after very few minutes

Sounds like something might be wrong with the fan or whatever keeps it cool. Because i know some systems will shut themselves down if they get too hot. This acts like a safety measure. That or your power button is stuck.

Power brick red light

yeah you definitly need to have a uk to usa power converter. you guys run on 220V which would create way more current then needed which is why the power supply blew. I hope you didnt fry any internal parts in the 360. You need to get a power converter that gives you 120V.
