Question about Cell Phones
Hey man, read this post trying to figure out if i could use the browser on the bold without a data plan and here is how you answered someone.
"You can use the phone and browse the web using the Wi-Fi browser, butthe BlackBerry push e-mail won't work without a BlackBerry data plan. You could just use the W-Fi web browser to actually go to the e-mailweb site and check it that way, but without a BlackBerry data plan youdon't get e-mail or BlackBerry Messenger."
I removed my data plan and turned on wifi and changed the browser settings to hotspot browser and it says connected to my hotspots, but i am still not able to browse the web. Can you email me or explain why this may be? Is there anything I need to do?
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

you can surf the net on a wifi network even of you dont have a data plan. turn the wifi on then select "set up wifi network" then just follow the instructions to be able to connect to the network. if you still can't after doing this, it might be because the signal of the network is not that strong.
regarding the bluetooth, go to media, then press the menu button (the bb logo), then select "receive via bluetooth" for your bb to receive the file from your laptop/other phones.
