Question about Viking VGSC306-4B Gas Kitchen Range
My 30" viking professional is new out of the box. The range burners work fine, but the oven is unable to maintain temp. It reaches the desired temp, then cools down immediatly afterwards.
This is a parts problem, I think called the burner ignitor. It is a pn oven part. We have had it in the past and are experiencing it again. We have had our stove for about 15 years, so I guess it is not too bad a problem, but not inexpensive. The oven is letting the gas be off too long between reignitions, so it does not maintain temperature. The first time we realized the probelem was with the Thanksgiving turkey (pink in the joints.)
We had to have the part replaced about 7 years ago and the part was about a $200 part plus service call. I am sure it more costly now. Hopefully you can get yours under warranty.
