I found the manual for your board. it will show you diagrams of board along with all the jumper setting. THis is what the doctor ordered. PDF file online at this address: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socka/kt400/a7v8x-x/e1198_a7v8x-x.pdf

took some time to find, if it helps, please spend the time to rate this answer. good luck

like i had said in my first answer to your question, the step by step is in the MANUAL on the site that i had mentioned. it has diagrams, picture and text to guide you. It took me some time to find the site, would appreaciate if you could take time to rate this solution.
    thanks and good luck.

The fan should be plugged into the 3 pin socket between the CPU and the RAM.

Cpu fan not working

If the CPU fan is actually spinning (make sure you're looking at the right one - it should be the fan mounted directly onto a big circular heat sink near the top of your motherboard), then it sounds like your mobo has a faulty sensor. If it's still under warranty, get it changed for a new one.

Help

Hello there.

There is no A7VBX-X motherboard by asus, its actually a A7VB8-X.

Please visit this link http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=A7V8X-X and click 'AUDIO', this will take you to the download page. Notice the list of audio drivers on the page, so make sure to choose the correct one for the version of Windows you use.

Hope this helps.

AUDIO DRIVER /M.BOARD A7VBX-X

The motherboard may be the ASUS A7V8X-X (not A7VBX-X); the audio driver is available on the ASUS site.
