Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
Im using the Canon DR-5080c scanner and when I try to scan a page using "scan batch to file" I get an error message that reads:
Can't locate SCSI device; check cable and power. (-4536)
I have checked to be sure that everything is connected properly, and as far as I can tell, there is not a problem.... Can anyone help me with this?
SCSI devices are detected as the computer is booting. If your scanner was powered on after your computer was already up and running, it may not have been identified by the SCSI card. Try leavinging the scanner connected and powered on and then reboot your computer. Also, the pins on the SCSI cable connectors are easy to bend; inspect the rows of small pins with a flashlight or just try a different cable if you have one.
