Hi Binma1990, Your best bet on getting this fixed is to go to Gamestop store and get a DVD cleaning disc kit. This in many cases will work to clean the lens of the laser without opening the PS3 and voiding the warranty. Follow the instructions on the kit in detail to get best results. If you have no luck there and are not comfortable opening the PS3, the playstation Clinic can help. Contact Repairtech@playstationclinic.com

SOURCE: wont play playstation 2 games
This can occur if the Playstation has been knocked or dropped. On the slim version if you remove the screws underneath and remove the top cover you may find the the small drive shaft has been dislodged from the motor. Push it back into place refit cover and screws. This fixed my PS2 with this fault.

You need to replace the blu-ray laser. It's a VERY common problem. It's due to a factory defect with the laser.
Most 80GB models use laser model KES-400A or KES-400AAA.
You can either contact Sony for repair 1-800-345-SONY.
They charge $150 or you can go the DIY route for under $100.

This is normally because the laser on the drive is slightly off. The good thing is that you can fix this yourself it is quite simple.
Or of course you can send it in to be fixed it is up to you.
If you send it in you will have to pay out about $130 to get it fixed.
