I have had the same problems as the people above. All I want is to drag or drop a file (Folder) I have on my harddrive say like "Jimmy Smith" and have it listed as "Jimmy Smith" only. no other tags as artist, song, gene etc. I really don't want to go and remove all my unseen tags on the computer. I bought 2 Sansa e250's-- 1 for me and 1 for my grandson. I really hate all the navigation
to find what you want to play. otherwise I really like the player. Just a fussy old musician. thanks for any help Bob

I'm using WMP to sycronize songs to my SanDisk Sansa MP3 Player. Sometimes it will put the songs on it, but most times it won't. At first I thought that it was because some of the songs are downloaded off the internet, but it won't even put the songs from cd's on it.

  • KenGoldCoast Mar 29, 2009

to Guest, your instruction as below:
You have to change the setting for the mp3 player. Go to menu ......(which window you open to get menu, If I knew the rest will be easy),
    then
setting and go down to USB. There are two options, USB and AutoDetect.
Select AutoDetect. When you connect the mp3 again, it will be detected
as portable device sansa. You can now use Windows media player and sync
a playlist to it or you can drag and drop music to it (accessing from
    my computer). hope this helps.

My computer is able to recognise it but no way I can drag and drop the mp3 files...I also tried to sync with WMP but failed. I start to think that this gadget might be a lemon...

    Please let me know.

    Ken

Hey to get music onto the Sansa e250R you have to plug the Sansa into the computer. Next go to mycomputer. Then onen ethier sansa or Removable Disk(F:). Then take the songs you want and drag them on to the white space under photos and vidos and all that other files. DO NOT PUT IT IN A FILE.

All Sansas use Rhapsody.com Memberships which alow you to download unlimited amount of music and videos for 14.99 a month the yojo sugestion works but some errors occur with itunes and windows media player use another option is to use bearshre 5.1 lite and use the click and drag method

Make it easier on yourself and download Yahoo! Music Jukebox. From there you can just drag songs from your library to the side, where it should say the name of your mp3 player, and drop it. The program will automatically download the song straight to the mp3 player.

You must have the automatic synchronization option checked - go to www.microsoft.com and enter "windows media player manual sync" as your search term - it will give you click-by-click instructions with pictures on how to disable the automatic synchronization; it will also, give you pictures on how to sync a song.

I have a Sansa e250 but i lost the cd with the software on it. I forgot how to put music onto it, do i have to convert it first? Please help!

Hello,

All support for Sansa e200 players can be found here:
http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4487/session/L3NpZC92WmxVWmRZag%3D%3D/sno/0#e200
Music transfers can be done, connected with the provided USB cable in 2 modes:

MTP = Media Transfer Protocol, when using a software program or Windows Media Player (10 or higher). In WMP10 or 11 select Library or Sync to create playlists and synchronize the playlists with the player.

MSC = Mass Storage Class, when using Windows explorer, viewing the player as a removable disk. Perform "copy and paste" or "drag and drop" actions onto the external USB device (drive letter memory with 2GB capacity).

For pictures and video use software program Sansa Media Converter on the computer. After conversion in SMC transfer media onto the player.
Use next overview link for information about and how to get Sansa Media Converter:

I can't download music to my San Disk 1GB MP3 player that I got for Christmas. I did not get a manual with it.

To put music on your Sansa e250 you will do this:
Download Windows Media Player 9 or 10 to your computer. I would use Media Player 10 as it is the newer player. After you download Media Player 9 or 10 open it up on your computer, and then hook up your mp3 player, it should be recognized by Media Player and then you can transfer the songs to it. You need to put the music cd in your computer cd player and download the songs to Media Player using Windows Media Player 9 or 10. I have also included a website where you can download the user manual, it will say e200, but the instructions are also for the e250. Good Luck, I hope this helps. Please rate me, Thank You.

SanDisk Sansa Clip

Use Windows Media Player to transfer the songs downloaded from Limewire to your Sansa. The first time you open Windows Media Player, it will search the "My Music" folder for songs - this may take a few minutes. Mkae sure you have Windows Media Player 10 or 11. You can either move or copy the Limewire songs to the folder called "My Music," or go into Windows Media Player and change Windows Media Player's configuration so that it can read the Limewire downloads folder.
