Question about HP Printers & Copiers

6 Answers

I recently purchased an HP D7560 printer. As far as I know, I installed it properly and received proper feedback. My problem is paper feed. I receive repeated errors of paper jam or improper paper feed. When I feed the paper in the machine up to the stop, something grabs the paper and doesn't allow me to pull it out unless I use considerable effort. It doesn't make any difference whether I insert 50 sheets or 5 sheets. I could really use a little help. Thank you

I tried your suggestion and it did not do anything for my problem. The printer grabs the paper -- it does not have anything to do with wiping it with a soft cloth. I need a printer specialist. I am sorry but your answer did not solve my problem. I presume that I am not going to be changed for that. M. Mandelkehr

Hi,
Please follow the procedure it will solve your problem.

Remove the rear access door and clean the three small rubber rollers with a cotton swab and water. As viewed from the rear, there is a roller on the left in the bottom of the printer that also needs to be cleaned.

Thanks for using fixya.

Although this problem usually occurs when it is "overstuffed" with paper, the fix is generally the same.

Remove all of the paper from the paper tray/feeder. If you're using a laser printer with a conventional paper tray, try a small stack of 50 to 100 sheets. Inkjet printers with rear drop-in style paper feeders are even more sensitive, so try a fresh stack of 10 to 20 sheets. Now try printing again. If the problem persists, try flipping the paper over and printing on its back side. While this should not make a difference for most paper types, there are so many styles and quality levels that subtle differences in textures may exist between each side. Try a different brand or quality level of paper. You might also consider ways to reduce the humidity in the room; a small dehumidifier may solve the problem if the misfeeds are caused by pages sticking together. If the problem still continues, there may indeed be a problem with the paper feeder, and the printer will need to be repaired or replaced.

NOTE: if the above does not work, you will need to replace your paper feeder. I found one online but it was $175 while I found your printer on sale for $115, so the choice is yours...

Printer feeds the paper but gives you jam or improper feeding error instead and does not print of course.

have nothing to do with your computer or printer driver, it's the hardware (least it's a communication issue).

try to feed a paper manually (on the printer itself), if it is able to do so, change the USB cable / swap USB ports.

Its the common and regular problem in this printers .its the problem of gears in the gear assembly r either worn out or they r slightly cracked so they r not able to move the paper forward and they grap the paper at that particular place where the two wornout gears meets together. the gear assembly needs to be replaced with proper servicing required.the cost of the gear assembly is near to $35.

1. First open the front and the rear end of the printer and make sure there is no bits of paper stuck. If any get it removed using cardboard like paper and also clean the roller with a soft cloth.

2. If you stil have the same problem, uninstall and reinstall the printer and once the setup is completed do not forget to complete the alignment of the paper step.

Thanks

HP4280 keeps saying 'no paper' but there is. It seems it doesn't feed the paper.

Make sure the paper is properly place on the paper tray. Most printers won't detect the paper its its not correctly placed on the paper tray, so you should try pushing the paper in as far as it can go, then the printer should detect it.

Hello, I'm having paper loading or feeding. Problems with my hp 1315 printer. I keep receiving erro r light once I press the print button. Yes, I've c leared feed area and checked ink carriages area....

This is sort of scenario is usually caused by dust inside the printer. Dust has a way of preventing the sensors from detecting paper. Also it prevents the rollers from having a firm grip on the paper while picking paper. I will suggest you get a long handle brush and try to reach as far inside the printer as possible and brush (from the back and front). If you have a blower you may also use it to blow well into the interior of the printer (If you do not have a blower the brushing will still do if you do it well.) This, if properly done should do it. Brush especially the rollers etc.

your paper feed problem may be due to the feed rollers or due to the fact the mecanism that raise the paper doesn't function properly. Normally if you clean the rollers that should work

Paper does not feed properly

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud
