Stereo rattles when you put cd in. - Audio Players & Recorders

The len that reads the cd needs to be cleaned. I have done this on numerous stereos. Take the unit out of the vehicle, take the top cover off by removing the small screws that hold it in place. you will see what looks like a small eyeball where the cd is when its in the player,thats the lens. Take a cotton swab and some alcohol and clean the lens, put stereo back together. If the plug will reach, plug in the stereo with out installing it in the dash and try it out, the cd should work if not then you have other problems with the stereo.

Second, CDs have to be inserted with the readable media side facing the appropriate lenses to achieve results. A wrong insertion of the CD into stereo compartment may require forceful extraction. Observe the type of stereo to ascertain CD extraction also known as reset buttons. Usually a tiny area, the reset button allows inserting an object that forces the car stereo to eject stuck disks. Every mean to eject stereo disk have to be performed while the car is turned on to utilize the source of power. An unsuccessful attempt to dislodge CDs in stereo compartments would require auto electrician's consultation. An unsuccessful dislodge attempt usually requires acquiring a new stereo in replacement of the malfunction.

it sounds like u didn't put the speaker connector thoroughly! Putting the stereo back might have disconnected the connection. Check it again!

Could be the magnet loose or the voice coil bottoming out. if so, too much power. Check those and respond back.

Your CD player's lens is not working, meaning either if you can open it and change the lens or install a new stereo, see which solution is cheaper.( you can find stereos for around $35) . Good Luck

im not usally good in this subject but is there a stuck cd in it? it could be a wire that has shorted out too. srry im not really good with auto but good luck

Make sure that the head unit is secured tight, it might be the bass that is rattling the head unit and therefore the cd is jumping.

pioneer cd players have the common problem of losing their laser lens due to the glue that holds it in place going brittle over time. try shaking the player from side to side and upside down to see if you can hear the lens rattling about. if you recover the lens, very carefully slot it back in place and apply a tiny drop of glue (NOT SUPERGLUE) to the outside edge of the lens taking care not to get any on the focus area and leave to dry. all should be well after this. i find UHU GLUE in the yellow tubes do a lasting fix but don't use SUPERGLUE as the fumes will coat the lens.
